Possible fuel problem. 1976 280z 2+2
Here's your solution, Get the correct part #'s from the Courtesy Nissan link. Call your local Nissan dealer to order them. They should have them the next day. Install them in the correct locations. I'll bet your headlights might work. Regular wire is not a good choice for that application. You will have done the work yourself……with the proper parts. Otherwise, make sure your insurance covers fire……….

Possible fuel problem. 1976 280z 2+2
Autozone is not going to carry fusible links. Neither is ORielly's. Go ahead and order the correct parts from one of the links that was given to you. (2) brown(or red), (1) black, (1) green and (2) covers.. They are cheap enough to carry spares in your glove box. The gauge you pictured is your voltmeter and fuel gauge. Check to be sure you have gas. Edit to say you are posting reference pics for a 75'. Remember yours is a 76'. It makes a Huge difference when referencing some specific parts, fusible links being one of them.

Buying 1975 280z and have some questions!
Well, If your "parts warehouse" is out of stock I just happen to have said parts from a 77' that I'm willing to let go. The faceplate has a crack but I believe it to be repairable. The lens is in good shape. I can send you a pic later if you want to see. I'm leaving for a Scout meeting soon and there are couple of big storms starting to come through.

Starting to smell like 30 - 35K might be possible. Grannyknot's 40k top could be the winner!

Crashworthiness of a 77 280z
Lucky to be alive, for sure. This is scary for anyone involved or to have witnessed. I always remember wrecks like this when a young driver wants S30 as their first car. That's why I preach the safety factor to them.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Holy cow, that's a lot of cutting! Chop shop experience showing? Maybe? It also kinda reminds me of the movie Fargo when the guy went into the shredder.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
I used a sawzall on my parts car. It was oddly gratifying feeling standing on the roof while cutting away. Unfortunately the current price paid for scrap is hardly worth it other than to get it out the way. I got $40 for 1200 lbs. last summer. Also, don't forget to take your title and or bill of sale with you to the scrap yard. They're going to ask for it.

This has Captain Obvious all over it
I can be minister of carburetors in your regime! I should know about them, but I don't, so I'd be perfect as a politician. Plus I would help schedule all the future EFI constituents,

Low miles, original paint 280z
I'm gonna go with 20 something. I think all original and unmolested is very appealing to most buyers. 240's still have the magic for the want factor but 280's are just a more refined version and still have the . I hear it every time I take mine out.

Hole in side of block??
I thought I'd seen most every configuration of the L series engine. I was wrong, and that includes the garden hose. The PO must have done some serious drugs when attempting this.

Unfortunately no. As with many Ebay stores it seems to have come and gone.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
No, not real leather. I ordered off of Ebay and it was a leather look alike but substantially cheaper. I had to do foam replacement also so I was trying to save a few $. Also, I was originally trying to match the Ginger color on the door panels, but decided on these instead. They wound up being shipped from Karachi, Pakistan.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Finally got around to install some under dash lighting with LED's. Not exactly finished yet but I'm glad to address the black abyss issue when something fly's off the passenger seat and lands in the "wait until daylight" area. It'll be one less flashlight to carry. The bad part is now it'll show how dirty the floor is .
