I'd share Carls opinion, " once your start digging ".. ( but I think even the nicest Z has hidden rust in there.. ) you could still have fun with the car, and repair the bad spots, by cutting out the rotten section and weld in new metal, but you need to have some skills for that.

A friend of mine was curious about that I found the previous owners in the US. He asked me if you guys where able to help him to also possibly trace back the last owner in the US, he doesn't have any history prior to 1990.. and the car was shipped ot the Netherlands in 1994. This is what he has: dhr Kavanagh Joseph J 7695 NW 21ST court Margate florida 33063-7904 The car changed owner 4 times during 1994 in a short time, because the owners found out the floors and frame rails was all rusty, and possibly didn't have the skill to prepare. The current owner repaired this. The only thing not original now is the rear fenders, but he hasn't done anything to it yet. ( more pics to come )

Plenty of time, no hurries I was also amazed to find so much Datsun Z at Joop Stolze, since they are almost no where to be found here. It's not like his place had a huge billboard or something , nothing at all... that was the most amazing thing, like a barn find..

Hello Alan, Nice to meet you! By chance I found this youtube video and didn't know if you would respond, but rather quick ! It must be nice for you also to find your Z back! It's in good hands. It needed alot of work to be done, but so far it's roadworthy again, and it will go up for check the 13th of Februari, hope it passes the first time. The engine still needs work, but it's running good for now, you got any history on that? @ Robert and Alan, it would be really cool to track back the other owners, and even the first one! ( if possible ). Well i'll be posting more pics and maybe a video when the weather will be better. I really like the color by the way! Will be painting it the same color again when it needs repaint. Bart.

Thanks guys, I did find the classic datsun paint from less on ebay to for 29 dollars something, but the shipping costs are the price of 3 cans ..:sick: Would it work if I take a picture of the right color on the engine block to a paint shop and let them decide as close to possible? Just found this on Zcar? The Number is Pontiac Blue DE1610.

Anybody knows the colorcode of the paint? I tried Nissan Netherlands, but they won't help

Uhm the dovetails from the UK costs me more than from the US due to taxes.and extra charge they put .

Problem solved, I installed 260z ones. I got 240z ones and 280z ones aswell on the way, but will keep as reserve..

Nice progress so far . Here in NL we take the car to an alignment shop, they will do the work with computer alignment equipment, it's far easier. Maybe that's an option for you? Found this to, if you want to do yourself:
