  1. I'm using 7 for my work pc. I also think it's what you want to do with your pc, if only internet and e-mail and some word and excel, windows xp will still do fine.
  2. You still have a mechanical linkage, it could be sticking somewhere there. Usually the problems I had with the older injection engines was that the throttle plate would not close fully due to gunk, although it looked like it closed fully, you can not see those few mm...
  3. ^ a friend of mine works in the plastic injection molding field, he said if you have the injection mold for the dash, making the actual dash is cheap. The problem is plastic injection molding is about numbers to make the costs low, so making a few would still cost alot.
  4. If I am right in calculation, 1 litre is 1,72 euro here in the village, which is 2.60 Canadian Dollars ! Double ! The goverment is wondering why it's so quiet at the gas stations here around the border with Germany ( Germany 1,45 euro a litre ! )
  5. I placed the new brake drums and oem nissan brake pads also. But did not yet adjust the handbrake. I took an hour this evening to adjust them according to what's said in the FSM, and now it's 3/4 clicks and the wheels are locked..so that should be fine.
  6. I managed to pick up these 4 280zx 14 inch iron cross wheels today. So I can put my 195/70/14 Dunlop tires on these and be done with it. They use the same oem nissan lug nuts as the turbo wheels. I'll think I'll leave it this way for now...
  7. I'm no electrical guy. But my common sense say don't mess with the factory set up from the AFM. I would replace the AFM if it was faulty.
  8. I placed mine with the arrow pointing forward. No leaks so far. R180. I use special classic car line oil from Kroon Oil for my diff Datsun - 240Z S30 (1969-1973) - Rear axle - Product recommendation - Kroon-Oil
  9. Thanks. I finally installed the turbo wheels with michelin tires... and yes finally a smooth ride and steady steering wheel ! I will post some pics tomorrow. Doesn't look bad at all ! I'm also going to pick up 14 inch iron cross wheels saturday, so I don't have to waste my new 14 inch dunlop tires, and have 2 sets, they use the same lug nuts as the turbo wheels oem nissan.
  10. I just heard a friend I picked up datsun parts before has a set of these he says. I'm going to check it out saturday.
  11. I've been looking for wolfrace like mag wheels in 14 inch, but they are none to find. Then I found out those original 280zx iron cross wheels are 14 inch to, and I really like them. Anyone has a good set he's willing to sell and ship overseas ? Like this: I'm asking some friends overhere, maybe I can find them here, just keeping this option open.. Gr Bart
  12. Seems your pinion is not hitting the driving gear in the gearbox. In other words it's not driven.
  13. While waiting for the tires, started refurbing the turbo wheels today. I am sandblasting them, and giving them the silver finish ( no gloss ), motip wheelspray. I think it looks great..standard look, makes the wheel stand out more, then when it's polished, and I hate polishing by the way
  14. worn out camshaft ? it's coming from the engine I think, not the carbs.
  15. Also new replacement rear brake drums arrived from the US. My old ones where really worn out.. this is one of the parts that still was to be replaced.
  16. Hi Doug, If I can't get them here, I will order them in the USA for sure.. It seems many brands make this kind of wheel, but the original ones seem to be the " wolfrace " brand ? I'm not sure. It's a pain anyhow to find classic car aluminium wheels in 14 inch here.. Gr Bart
  17. I'm thinking what to do, like said above it's some immitation brand, and one wheels has a different ET.. if the wheel goes on the balancer machine they use the center hole, but if the mounting is somewhere out, the rim could balance fine but it doesn't center on the axle..
  18. Thanks for the info/help guys. I couldn't find any 14 inch wheels for now...damn hard to find here. Today I was able to pick up 15 inch 280zx turbo wheels with the original nuts with them ( just have to put new tires on them, these have a flat spot from sitting over 10 years and are old). So this should fix my vibration problem. I will keep looking out for 14 inch wheels. The problem with my current wheels is that 1 wheel has a different ET, the wheel is not the same as the others and it's some immitation brand, I'm not sure if it's worth fixing these, or just looking for a genuine wolfrace 14 inch set ? At least I have these 15 inch wheels for now, they don't look bad I picked them up fearly cheap, the guy was quitting his Datsun hobby. He had a solid euro 280zx turbo for sale !
  19. the tires are new dunlop put on last year ! But it was the wheels I am sure now.
  20. There's a guy in Groningen who has 280Z parts. Look under " Datsun 280Z " in Markplaats, he's called Peter I believe. I like your creativity here
  21. Well I found out the Scimitar '' GTE '' has the same PCD that matches the 240z's. Also late 60's , 6 cylinder mustangs have the same PCD.
  22. Hi Chas, Can't you get another good AFM somewhere ? Gr Bart
  23. That 73 looks pretty solid
  24. Just found out the guy never had those wheels under his scimitar gte he said today, he measured the pcd on his car today and it was indeed the same as 240z PCD of 114.3. The wheels he sold where a smaller PCD, but he advertised them as GTE wheels..
