  1. I cannot recall the member that did that but I've passed it on many times for others. I wish I was able to take credit for it but no. I'll remember as soon as I disengage. @Walter Moore thank you!
  2. Music yo my ears...LOL
  3. I cleaned mine with 0000 steel wool then coated with Helmsman satin poly. It's closer to red mahogany than any color I've seen on one. Mine is a '72 though. Possibly the earlier ones were other colors?
  4. Seems to me if you pulled the coil wire off the center of the distributor cap, disabling all spark to the plugs, and then tried a quick spin of the motor in the morning then pulled the plugs to see how wet they were? A simple way to test your suspicions I would think. Editited after another thought; Pull the plugs out and spin the motor to see if fuel spurts out?
  5. Here's an Excel chart I think your talking about? Distributor advance curves S30-S130 (1).xls

  7. I use interior p/a wire. 14 maybe?
  8. Just my experience but I use speaker wire with alligator clips on one end and battery charger clamps on the other end. Surprisingly that gets used as a diagnostic tool more than most others.
  9. May be helpful, FunkytownZ post.
  10. I have a drippy Camry you'll notice if I park on top of your bed..
  11. Mark I apologize for forgetting your deep well of knowledge. Phillip has helped me so much over the years. I am grateful to the both of you! @Zed Head I am always impressed at your ability to express, relay information without all the bull****. You are great and deep well of info. Ima about to cook 56 pork shoilders and 62 slabs of ribb for the holiday.
  12. @240260280 would know. He knows very much!
  13. That's what I bought, Moogs. Ebay though.
  14. That back most header stud was too short on mine too. I bought one from nissan for a v8 titan truck that was enough to bolt it down. I have them on the front and the the rear. M10 so I had to open up the hole a little.
  15. Thank you Ferg! Thank you Mark! Happy Memorial Day to all.
  16. They are in that small taped up wad of wires on the passenger's side.
  17. I'm hoping this may help if the fuel sender wires. I agree with w3wilkes post above, you may have to lower the tank to find them.
  18. I just realized that! Very cool wheel.
  19. Rear bumper is my bar. Holds, so far, 6 empty soilders (Bud Lights) when I mow my yard. Yeah I know 6 is a lot but I have a big yard.
  20. Here's a great shot thanks @240260280 I'm flogging a dead horse I know but that's what I do.
  21. Your review of the FSR made and still makes me want one. That was 2013, I believe I can afford one now.
  22. I was so glad I didn't try stain either. It's not wood so stain wouldn't have penetrated, just laid on top was my thinking. Anyhow it looks great! I much prefer the 240 wheels over the 280's. I think your going to end up with a 240 mashed into a 280? RossiZ did it and it looked great. Classic car with a little more comfort. You go Mr Ferg!!!
  23. Here's a shot of mine. Disregard the circle up top, that was another paint file. It's the arrow pointing to it.
  24. The plastic one I bought lasted one time. I used it as a template for a new one I made out a piece of hard oak wood. Garbage...
