  1. We got lucky, he only circled the south eastern corner.
  2. I deleted that email without ever looking. I know ME.
  3. I rembered some honey cone comb looking filters from a few days ago. They looked really good! Finally found them under my nose.
  4. I looked through Facebook's marketplace earlier. Lots of datsuns on there. 240s were $4k to $25k. Give it a look if you haven't.
  5. Yeah there's some type of berry they like that gets them high.
  6. That's an odd looking building. Did a double take 3 times.
  7. You have to take a bolt out at the rack connection where the bottom splines are of the rod. Remembering more now. The tie rods have flats on them. Put a Crescent wrench on there and another on the nut. It'll be laying on the ground so use your feet to break them loose. Rember, driver's side is left handed threads. Passenger's is normal lefty loosey.
  8. That column goes up and with 4 bolts through a "puck" shaped bushing connects to the steering wheel arm that comes through the firewall. Remove those. I remember having to loosen up the rack itself and rotate it forward to get the column either off or back on? it's a real snug fit. Replacing that puck looking bushing is pretty cheap and easy. Makes a huge difference for a steady steering wheel while driving. Zcardepot probably has one? Or Napa maybe, they have weird odds and ends for our cars. Heck Nissan may have them?
  9. Good 'ole Al.
  10. Looks like he wound up in a field of dreams, pot field of dreams. Be glad you weren't on your motorbike.
  11. Here's something to read when you have a minute. It's our worst "dream" car.
  12. Try "searchtempest" for craigslist cars all around you. $10K should get you something decent but since the prices have rocketed this past year or so you may consider an efi car, '75 and up, change over to carbs for fairly cheap compared to rebuilding the old fuel injection. You'd get a little bigger motor, 2.8 instead of 2.4, for less dough ray me. Find some and post them up here. We'll gladly tell you what to do!
  13. http://www.zhome.com/ Left side about the third section down. "Buying A Z car tips"
  14. You want one with the least rust. Are you going to work on it yourself, ready to drive, carburetor or EFI? Some good info here... https://www.google.com/search?q=buying+my+first+Z+classiczcars.com&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&oq=buying+my+first+Z+classiczcars.com&aqs=chrome..69i57.13549j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  15. Buyer beware! Some very unsatisfied buyers. One star reviews from real people, 5 stars from one person; fake I'm sure. https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/glendale/profile/auto-brokers/vintage-car-collector-1216-762227/customer-reviews Take your time, the right one will find you. Kind of weird how that works but it does.
  16. My similar fuel rail has a T out the back. One side to the cold start, the other to an original equipment fuel pressure regulator from a '78. Worked out good for me. I can post up some pictures tomorrow if you want. Cliff
  17. Japanese Racing White's Tech Tips. Woof, that's a mouthful of change. Will you do two blue stripes? I like stripes.
  18. My 69,??? vin 1972 did not have one. My '77 has one. I want one for my 240 though as they seal up a little better the engine bay, pulling most of the air through the radiator. I think it would run cooler with one. My opinion only...
  19. I have your setup, ceramic headers and heat shield but I set my idle at 800rpm. I removed my heat riser so mine gets plenty of cool air using a Nissan air filter. No stumbles, sorry. Remove the filter and see if it smoothes out. Also I think adjusting the valves would be a good idea too. Make sure your nozzles are full up off choke. The choke wires slip sometimes and won't let them pull the nozzles all the way up.
  20. It gets about as humid here as anywhere and I haven't experienced any idle issues on my '72. I've drive it early in the mornings too when the humidity is at the highest. I have the water heat up tube deleted but your 4 screws won't have that. But my snorkel has the WINTER/SUMMER flap so Nissan thought enough about temperature to add that.
  21. We have bombarder this fellow. I apologize for the group. It's a game we play, who's first with the answer. My smartphone is like the Coleco football game I played when I was a kid.
  22. Maybe $9,876 I hate that $1,234
  23. Edited out.
  24. There's some kind of rubber disc inside that can fall loose. Never dealt with that but read plenty. Hopefully the others will fill in the blanks.
