COMPLETE INSANITY!!! Could you imagine the hood scoop for that? It'll probably provide shelter for a family of four!! While it is fun to see this stuff, I am happy to see it on other peoples cars not mine. But it looks great.

Are the lower valences inter changeable on the 240 &280z? I wonder if you could put a 240z lower valence on a 280z. I have seen a 240z with a 280z lower valence on this site somewhere.

How about a 240z with an L28et with a 944 turbo in a autocross? Wouldn't a spiced up zx turbo engine make the 240z a contender to some of these cars. Does he mean a 240z with an N/A L24 or L28?

You can also see for your self on the ID plate on the drivers side door jam. My 73 said on the door jam ~2700 lbs.

Yup I always park next to a Z when i see one in the same parking lot as me. At school(college) If i saw one of three Zs in the parking lot i parked next to if i could. Often they would do the same if i was in a hurry and couldn't park next to thier car i'd find 'em next to mine. A few times all three were parked together.

I drove my 240z as a daily driver for almost 2 years. With a 50 mile round trip. I had almost no problems even though I liked to take it to close to 6500-7000rpm sometimes. The only things that went bad were the brake booster and the condenser(I had an aftermarket distributor-Mallory Dual point mechanical advance). The condensor went bad cause it was mounted close to the header. Once i mounted it on the other side it was okay. It wasn't till recently that some yellow light beating girl in a cavelier slammed into me and totaled my 240z.

the car your are looking at is a 280zx turbo, right? The rims should fit you 240z. Are they the swastika type of wheel that the turbo models came with? If so they could be 15" rims.

Also lets not forget the L28ET swap. A 280zx turbo engine will also go right into your Z, You can find these at junk yards sometimes if you wanna go cheap. I also have a 78 280z and i want to do the L28ET swap. If you find a good low milage one your Z will GOOOOOO. Sighn up for the mailing list on Zhome.com ! There is great info there also. They also have members that own 280zx's. The members here are geared to the early z car but I'm sure if someone can help they will.

Yeah i'm with Zmefly on the first version, and like texas Z i only saw it for the first time a week ago. I felt they should have called the first movie "the fake and the furious". I saw an article on the sequel in motortrend and it said they were thinking of putting a 350z for one of the main roles. That article showed only 3 cars and those cars ain't fake. If they don't have a Jetta racing a viper in it then it might be worth a peek, I'll see it when i get to watch it for free on a friends DVD or something.:devious:

I used to have one of thos cheap plastic jobs on my ZX a few years back almost hurt myself accidently knocking it off, when i was loading stuff. May be you could ask Tourniqet for a strut after all i know he has a good one from my car. I don't know if he needs it though.
