  1. Do they also include the chrome strip ?
  2. You can buy panels from Seats for a lot less money.
  3. Mike commented on GaryDena's gallery image in 06 Blackhawk
  4. Arne, bring it up to the guys in Salem (Ztherapy) and see what they'd do with it. There's a pretty good auto body shop just across the way that will give you a decent price on paint and repair if he has time.
  5. That bites! What about a gift to a relative ?
  6. Hey westpak, How come you can't post pics here? Let me know and I'll fix it right away. We'd love to host your photos. Easiest way to upload? Zip the photos together and upload one file. Our server will extract the photos and process them.
  7. Hey MJwrabbit, put this in our calendar... Here's the link: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/calendar.php
  8. If you have to sell it because you don't want her to have it.... sell it to a buddy for $1, and make him sign an agreement to sell it back to you for $1 ~60 days after the divorce is final. I knew a guy that gave his kids a Jaguar, Porsche, and a Mercedes for that very reason.
  9. Sell other crap. Don't sell your Z. I didn't sell mine after the divorce, but, I am glad that I struggled to keep it through the financial pains. If it's paid for, then you have no reason to sell it.
  10. EFI is actually quite easy to get running. Don't tell many of the classic guys, but, I like the EFI system better than carbs. It did take some reading and understanding of how the system really works, but, once I knew the basics, it was quite simple. My biggest form of advice is to replace all of the old hoses, filters, and the fuel injectors. Before installing the new injectors, make sure the system is clean and free of debris. My biggest problem was a faulty fuel pump which is located in the rear near the fuel tank. Compared to modern EFI systems, the 280z is a breeze. I think I have an EFI manual somewhere around here. Send me a private message (click PM from my username) with your email address and I'll send it to you.
  11. We can always start with a good collection and add to it over the years. I suspect the ZX will eventually become part of the club because (like it or not) it's going to be a classic too.
  12. Very interesting! I'd love to know the story behind that place. Who was it and why did they hold on to so many cars?! Did you notice that many of the cars are British, but, mostly left-hand-drive? I found the Z: http://www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa56.htm
  13. Hi Brian, welcome back! I remember when you used to log in awhile back. It's good to see you've got the bug again. So, can you explain the 2nd part to me a bit more? You landed on the LID of the car after a 12 foot drop? Does that mean your car flipped onto the top and fell or ? It's hard to see anyone get into an accident and I am sorry for your loss.... -- Mike
  14. Hi Greg, Welcome to the club. I'm glad to welcome another member to the community! Your idea about posting the electrical questions to the electrical forum is a good one. We have many different forums related to various topics and it's always best to ask a few questions at a time. This will give you the best possible focus. Good luck with the car and I hope you enjoy your visits to our little home on the 'net. - Mike Gholson - Admin

Will, I have scans of an early/late model supplemental book. This is the book that provides wiring schematics and layout for the dash and center console. It includes heater plumbing diagrams as well.
  16. Wanna sell me a roadster ? After selling mine a few years ago I really miss it.

Hi guys, this is great and thanks to Will for keeping this effort going. I am thinking this will be a good way for us to keep a collection of items around for anyone to use. Just like the existing microfiche project, the sales from a project like this will go to support the club. This place is a service to the members and the new CD will do the same. We started this club as a support group to help others with their own classic Zcar and will continue to provide services to do so.

So, the guys at the shop decided to install an exhaust tip for me today. What do you guys think? :stupid:
