First of all, kudos and great job to Fred for the work he's done at the Datsun Museum. Getting in front of the camera like that can be intimidating and will make anyone nervous. The interviewer was obviously leading him and didn't prepare Fred for some of the questions before the camera started rolling. It's easy to point out the flaws. So, let's do this instead. Let's HELP these guys. Bobc's idea about sending money is a fine one, but, I'm sure not everybody here can afford it. So, how do we help these guys become better prepared for another interview in the future? Should we set up a forum for the Museum here? Some place where we can all discuss heritage of the Datsun? Donations can be accepted in the form of information.... m

You are upset about your car being broken and it's normal to be a bit pissed off. I've been there! Mine was a breakdown in the middle of the California desert. Interstate 5 Northbound on the infamous Grapevine. 1989... Driving alone I lost all my coolant due to a bad hose. Stuck for a day. I got to know my car VERY well. FW is right, take some time and enjoy it. By the way, have you tried the local Nissan dealership to see if they can order parts for you? Or, at the least pull out your tranny and find the problem?

Frankie, since you have a computer I'd check out Craigslist to see if there's anything available regarding Datsun parts. If you know exactly what you need, I'm sure someone on the club would be happy to help you locate a part. Do you know what you need to get the car going again?

Great info everyone. YES, all members of the CZCC will receive a discount from Motorsport Auto. I've worked with MSA closely for years and they've been kind enough to provide this discount to club members. The discount does vary but a majority of the discounts are 10-15%.

I have a particular interest in the Scarab. I created a dedicated forum on this website just to discuss Scarab and act as a 'holding place' for others to provide information as well. It was me... trying something new tonight. I am trying to see if I can have the forum removed from Active Threads or New Postss, but, I couldn't figure it out .... too tired and I'll come back to it later. My idea was to try pulling Craigslist ads for the current week into a forum (via RSS). This would make it easier to browse all Datsun categories for an entire state rather than by city like you have to do on Craigslist directly. m

I thought we arrived just before 10? Yes, Arne, I am sorry to see your fuel door latch was stolen. It's probably just another negative item on his long list of poor-boy antics. We will find you a new door latch. Aside from Arne's mishap, I think the show was great fun. I can't complain, my car saw the light of day and it's FIRST Canby show. Maybe next year I'll put it in the competition. And, I was finally convinced I need to replace those wheels. My trip home was s-s-s-h-a-a-a-ky... Arne, I liked your idea. Buy the new Konig's and use my existing tires. This will save me some great money. BRILLIANT! Oh, and Dave, thanks for the parking light harness. I was giving you crap in my message above. Workmanship looks excellent, you definitely know what you're doing. I'll let you know how the install goes. Edit: Bruce, I wanted to say THANKS for working at the show. I'd think you would want to support an Asian economy because they are creating jobs right here in the United States. * Smyrna, Tennessee * Canton, Mississippi * Decherd, Tennessee Nissan is probably more considered a "global company" because of their presence all over the world. They have even partnered with Ford (an American company). Let's not forget that you are driving an Asian import. Where do you think your Z comes from?

Anyone from CA would die laughing at these tickets. I've seen some pretty interesting "mobiles" in my time when I lived down there... There are some funny cars out there. In fact, I've seen some pretty interesting works-of-art at the Z car shows (4x4 Z's, lifted Z's, lowered Z's, modified Z's, movie theme Z's, etc...).
