Whats a 3.36 R180 worth so i dont get scammed?
Realistic you will be paying $100-$300 for a diff in good shape and you still have to change out some seals. Be sure to research your gear ratio - just when you think you want a 3:36 you find out a 3:54 has better get up and go..........do your homework. It also depends on what transmission you are running - a 4 speed with a 3:54 is a great combo / a 5 speed with a 3.9 or a 4:11 is not bad either.

My NEXT sports car --- C7 Vette? Boxster?
I just purchased a BMW X6 for my daily work driver - if I did not drive so many miles per year it would have been a Nissan GT-R without a doubt. Huge bang for the buck and all wheel drive performance!

Brake Lines and fule lines and the holders.
Why do you want to replace your hard fuel/brake lines? Are you doing a complete restoration? I would without a doubt replace all rubber fuel/brake/cluch lines if they are original, dry and cracked. You will avoid problems down the road. Be sure to remove the spare tire and the rear plastic panel and get all of them.

240z Rear Bumper Guard Rubber Strip
Call some of the specialty shoppes that have Z parts (not MSA) - you need to give them your measurements - they are out there but they are tough to find. Just replaced all my rear rubber last year with a new chrome job. A little pricey but well worth it!

Brake restoration, thanks conedodger
Stephen Congrats on the new addition - one of Gods best miracles ever! Rob - I bought a new daily driver for work - funding for the Z just moved to the X. Taking a break on mods this year (I did upgrade radiators to Koyo this winter) on the Z. Brakes are on the list for next year.

headliner question
I used a Dynamat when I refreshed my car - 2 years later the MSA replacement liner foam separated from the vinyl. Had to buy a new replacement and this time saturated the foam with adhesive. Time will tell.

What's in YOUR garage?
Newest addition to my garage 2012 BMW X6 35i - keeping the '05 X5 (273,000 miles and still rockin').

1973 240z Refreshening Thread
Great looking project - one of the first things I always do is to pull the radiator and take it to a shop to have it rodded - one less thing to be concerned with - your shop can verify pressure and correct any challenges while they have it - the last one I had rodded and boiled was $40. Z$ well spent. I also agree with above - change out all our fuel lines - you'll be glad you did! Don't forget the bottom of the carbs while you are at it.
-
[2012] What did you do to/with your S30 today?
Car is in the garage for the winter - changing out the radiator to a Koyo polished aluminum. My original radiator is in fair condition - I will clean it/rod it/repair if needed and put it in storage with the rest of the original parts.

3 barb fuel rail for L6
Rob - I only drive my Z about 2000 miles per year - only on beautiful days and never on a gravel road. I do no interstate driving (I have an overabundance of twisty's right in my back yard - the closest interstate is an hour from my house - who would want to drive on a flat 4 lane anyway!). With that in mind the mesh filters work for my driving style. If I was more on interstate or using it as a everyday car I would change my filter style. Hope that helps. As far as how much filtration these filters offer I'm not sure how to honestly respond to that.......

I've got a Momo shifter and Momo steering wheel - fantastic grip on both - I will not be going back to the OEM items (got them in storage though).

How Many Z Drivers Also Own BMWs?
Found a deal I could not refuse on a 2012 X6 (Jet Black / Black) - gotta get it shipped from Boston after the frankenstorm is over - pic's to follow once shipped to NC. Keeping the X5 - too good of a car to trade and too many miles left to drive - she will make a great truck for my wife. Peabody BMW - a great bunch of folks up north to deal with.
