Some updates: Fresh air intakes ZX AC Bracket ZX AC Bracket after sandblasting and paint That same ‘78 280z rear glass with an OEM rear window seal to fix this gaps in the corners. This was a major PITA to install. Super tight. I also noticed a scuff in the shape of a Z logo. I think there was a sticker or paint on the glass and they didn’t take care getting it off. Gonna have to polish guy. Inner and outer (1970 version) weather strips
  2. I am picking up the part this week. If it works are there a lot of people who could use them
  3. 1978 has two. They're green. The best guess seems to be 40 amps.
  4. Alright folk i changed direction a bit about mechanical gauge…. I bought another oil pressure sender instead. This sender is a bit less resistance I think. 75ohms at 0 PSI. The fitting is NPT instead of BPST, hence another adapter. At cold start, oil gauge is very close to middle and when engine warms up, gauge points about middle. I guess due to the less resistance, that’s why the gauge display as such. But for sure having the gauge actually display something gives a bit a peace of mind. another successful day is I finally pay attention to the AC vacuum. I didn’t adjust it correct. At idle, when AC is engaged, there’s a vacuum at the throttle body to increase RPM a bit to keep the engine healthy. last couple of weeks, with you guys help, I’ve able to solve the flasher blown fuse, no heat at fuses box, voltage regulator look healthy. the next challenge is the fan clutch keep engaged too frequent.
  5. I'm going to give the McMaster Carr stuff a try. I have tried Precision and Vintage Rubber with no luck.
  6. Those rocker panel trim pieces were a dealer, or owner, installed upgrade on more than a few Zs in the 1970s. They were silver/chrome accent pieces prior to being painted your car's body color and gave the Z a bit of a lower/longer look. You might find a few rust spots under them when you take them off.
