  1. Thanks, Blue. Actually have this don't remember where I found it though. Wish I could read Japanese.:) I'm almost finished with the truck that has been taking up all my time. Doing the last of the painting on it this week, should be out of my life by weekend after this. Then I can start back on the covers. Stay tuned.
  2. Gav, that would be me. Eric set them all to me. Let me calculate shipping and i'll send you a paypal request. Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code If you want I can send you this oscilator that i've mocked up to run off the standard plug. Let me know.
  3. I was looking up the procedure for replacing the rear wheel bearings this morning. I looked at the PDF of the 74 manual, and then I looked at the 73 manual PDF. It was like night and day. As @CanTechZ said, the 73 manual PDF is a much higher resolution.
  4. The '72 and '73 240z FSM's on XenonZcar.com are much higher resolution scans, they can be found here: http://www.xenonzcar.com/s30/fsm.html Here is a screen capture of the same page that @Blue shows above, but from the Xenon scan of the '72 manual. Of course the downside is that the file size is much larger, but well worth it. Too bad they don't have the 1970 FSM. This is a not so much of a problem with 260z and 280z FSM's as they mainly used line drawings and not photographs.

I'll try my best to attend track day. I love that track from a spectator's point of view. You can pull right up to the guardrail on the back straight.
  6. See if you can watch the video attached @Palmettobug Upload Photo.mp4
  7. This is the Carpet Kit I purchased. The carpet fit well and looks good. It also has the padding underneath. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-1974-DATSUN-240Z-260Z-7-pc-REPLACEMENT-BLACK-LOOP-CARPET-KIT-/391100508622?hash=item5b0f6829ce
  8. I can take a few photos but probably not until the weekend. Thanks for your interest.
  9. Cut the head off 6 pan bolts.......loosely install them in several well spaced locations......slide the gasket and pan onto those headless bolts......get someone to hold it up tight.......thread in a half dozen real pan bolts, then you can install the rest of the bolts....remove the headless bolts and replace with good bolts....Voila!!
  10. I admire this part greatly, with perhaps a touch of envy. Keep finding rare parts such as these, and posting pictures for us.
  11. Got a few more items added to the car. Got the skid plate powder coated and attached to the underside of the car. Never realized that all of the nutplates are there on the bottom of the car. Bolted up nicely with some new M4 bolts. Got the horns re-furbed and installed. Also got the choke cable holder installed. Re-tuned the carbs while I had the air cleaner off. Also took the car for a nice drive to check everything out. It's running great with plenty of power. Very smooth and great to drive on the freeway. Took the car to the alignment shop last week and got that dialed in. Looking forward to the JCCS in a couple weeks. She is close to being finished.

a little acetone and the visors are clean enough to paint going to give this a try this stuff goes on pretty nice. 2 fairly heavy coats, with maybe 20 minutes between and the final product, more like i think it should look. i like it!!
