  1. I've just about had enough of cleaning, scrubbing, prepping, coating and painting BLUE stuff for this Z project. I am having a little bit of trouble trying to remember where it all goes. Am I close?
  2. Here's what happened. Sometime during the last 44 years, the original factory installed electric antenna stopped working or the mast broke off. The owner, being a cheap bastard, saw the price of a replacement factory electric antenna and opted to replace the factory electric with a $7 manual antenna from the local auto parts store. Doesn't really matter when your '72 Z was manufactured, it came with an electric antenna and a control switch to raise and lower it on the original factory radio face plate. Sounds like you also have an aftermarket radio and faceplate so the antenna switch is long gone. Did you notice the electrical wiring for the original antenna in the space next to the radio speaker? Dennis
  3. Are you talking about the throttle return spring I have? That was only temporary - it's not there anymore
  4. I'm not sure if this is the accepted answer or not, but if I were doing that, I would adjust the rear gap so it is the same as the front gap. Split the difference so it looks even?
  5. That's what someone said on here, the gear goes with the differential, 16 tooth with the 180 and 18 for the 200. So now it does and it seems to be right, compared to the other cars on the interstate. Thanks. Just realized the irony of your signature after your accident with the Expedition.
