  1. Here is a link to a large collection of S30 engine and engine bay pictures for inspiration: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOOstuMLWQ-T-nfkSMbw1tvyAboqyIZEECGlrSo1O7NPbcNEB-Of7X1-LCM-BVavA?key=VXlBaFpISGZBcTl1T1lTcVVuUEVwbWRwMkJPekdn I book marked this page after @gwri8 posted it last November.
  2. I'll add that to the birthday list too, thanks!
  3. You do not need the lower diff mount (rubber component) as the GM mount both supports and cushions the diff with a suspended bolt that will 'catch' the diff in case of bushing failure. See their page for details!
  4. Dave emailed me and apparently the spindle pin we had to cut took a torch and a 60 tonne press to extract from the control arm and strut assembly! On the bright side, if only cost $25 to have the shop extract the spindle pin.
  5. TOUCHDOWN ALABAMA!!!
  6. Sorry. Couple follow-up thoughts/questions... What was it that originally made you think that you had the incorrect carbs on the car? Did the carbs look different before that shop changed the carbs back in 2013? Who was it that told you that you have knock-offs? The current shop?
  7. Kats, good luck with that. The imported usdm cars I see for sale on yahoo auctions seem to not sell well. My wife's nephew, 24 years old, works for Toyota in osaka. He's a car guy so I asked him if he'd like to drive my 280z and he jumped at the chance. Big mistake, he really didn't know how to drive a stick shift. Lots of grinding and i think he redlined it a couple times.. He also didn't like the steering. It was too hard he said. Kids nowdays, here and there, are too used to automatic transmissions, power steering, navi-tv, a/c. i finally read through most of this thread and i've got to applaud your efforts to keep these old cars running. I gotta say my favorite car is the new ZG. It just looks so original, at least in the pictures, just like you just drove it off the showroom floor. For those of us old enough to remember these in the datsun showrooms, it brings back lots of memories.
