  1. I suggested that same part to George way back in July. Same link. But George chooses not to listen to the advice given here and just continues to ask the same questions over and over again. He's now got three threads going on this, but refuses to take any initiative on his own. I'm done with offering him advice. Waste of time...

Here my new to me toy >>>
  3. No problem. I've gleaned enough information from your threads. Glad you could get some here!
  4. Well George, to add to chickenmans post. I think its time you bite the bullet and do something with all the info you have. Come to think of it, I think I posted something similar in one of the other threads. If you keep asking the same questions and don't move on the advice you are given, people are going to ignore you. Even on this friendly site.
  5. Finally got some me/Z time. It's a little sissy looking baby blue in the pictures, flash I guess, but it looks okay in my garage and then the engine bay. EDIT: the crank nose pulley will be changed to a pinkish BLACK. Looks bad painted blue looking here; It's a work in slow motion progress.

Found this link from Facebook Datsun parts and needs. Thought I should post this here also for some reference shots. This guy has collected about 200 engine photos. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOOstuMLWQ-T-nfkSMbw1tvyAboqyIZEECGlrSo1O7NPbcNEB-Of7X1-LCM-BVavA?key=VXlBaFpISGZBcTl1T1lTcVVuUEVwbWRwMkJPekdn
  8. new guy here. so i have the interior of my 72 z gutted and have been replacing the floor pans. i got to looking at the firewall insulation/sound deadener which is in pretty bad shape, wondering where to get a replacement. then it hit me. im kneeling on it. while ive been laying on the concrete floor welding floor pans, im laying on that cheap, foam rubber floor matting. i got 4 24x24" pieces today at lowes for $20. this stuff is very easy to cut with a utility knife and fairly soft. here are the pics

Picked up the Z from paint a week ago and finally got it all back together, badges, interior, bumper, etc. I've been wanting to photograph it before the fall rainy season starts in GA. I had great plans while the leaves are turning. But alas, it's rained just about every day since and when it's not raining it is overcast. I think I'm in Seattle. The 240 Racing Green demands a sunny day to show the metal flake. Otherwise, on an overcast day, it's just……….green. So today, I looked at the forecast, more rain/overcast for a least a week. So I just went out anyway, without any lights, and just shot a few. Maybe I'll get a bright sunny day soon, otherwise I'll jus have to wait till spring.
  10. Hi Mike I made a couple of lenses with a white dye. The second one I made looks pretty close to original. Thats the one in the centre of the photo. The equipment Im using is what I had set up for making my tail light (turn signal) lenses for my 280Z. Otherwise I wouldnt have done it. I found the equipment at factory auctions and such. Equipment; A compressor - Vacuum pump - Vacuum chamber to de-gas resin - Pressure chamber to pressurize resin until it cures. This is to prevent champagne bubbles effect from forming in the lens - Scales to weigh resin, dye & hardener - Seringe or something to inject resin in mould - Release agent (spray) to help release mould and clean up. I dont know if anyone would be interested in a lens? The purpose was for my own 280Z restoration, but if any clubmembers would be interested in one. I could make some extras. I have more photos in my profile Album.
