  1. Displayed my car, along with my neighbor's green 240Z at the annual Lyon's Club "Cars in the Park". My wife made me a new poster for the show, which was much better than my previous attempt. We both had a nice time. Show is mostly classic Americana and hot rods. There was a red 1974 Ferrari Dino that I thought should have won the best "fur-in" car award, but it was awarded for a second time to a BRG XKE show queen. Our little 240Z's received lots of appreciation from people at the show, especially my neighbor's green car. One car collector came by several times to chat, telling me he was very impressed with Z. He has an 83' Z and a 2000 roadster. We chatted awhile about how Datsun's are finally starting to get the recognition they deserve. There were many photos were taken of our little Z's, including some for a newish classic car web site: http://classiccarpicturesalmanac.com/ It will be a little while before they are uploaded. All-in-all, a pretty nice day.
  2. I should from the tests. Basically, I should clamp off the return on the FPR. If the fuel pressure still drops, it is likely the fuel pump. Once I got on the road yesterday, I cooled down nicely. I bought some Gatorade to drink on the trip home. Plus there was plenty of shade for the drive back. My left shoulder is sore today. It's about time I had some exercise. Of course, I helped my wife wash & wax her car this morning. It still had the bugs from the Memphis trip all over it. I will post the pictures from yesterday, soon.
  3. Jai I wouldn't order anything Steve doesn't ask you to order. I have many of the parts he mentioned. Some are new, he is welcome to any of them for your car. unknown intake manifold with FPR new in box FPR unsure of application Unknown fuel pump
  4. Much better color! Even though it's not red
  5. I have a downloaded version too, but I found that the drop down menus at the upper right will get you there. There's a sub-topic called Other Guides under the Reference sub-topic. S30 > Reference > Other Guides, for example. Still weird though, the S30 and S130 links have different formats.
  6. It took all of 5 minutes to swap out the old hoses and install the new ones. They fit like a glove and I believe the intake side hose fits better than the original. It follows the lines and components under the hood very well. The new hoses certainly match the cleanliness of everything else under the hood. I know the non-braided hoses are not factory correct. However, at 1/6th the cost of a set of braided hoses I am perfectly happy. If I was going for a true factory or concourse restoration I would pony up for the MSA hoses. For now my car is a high quality driver and these fit the bill nicely. It takes passionate owners and creative thinkers to think outside the box and come up with budget friendly solutions like this. Thank you again to Dan and the entire classic Datsun community for helping me keep #8011 on the road.

The thing that looks like a cigar is actually a couple inches of the rusted original cable that's over 100 years old.
