  1. So being unsatisfied with my lowering springs I decided to bite the bullet and order these coilovers. I like the idea of having more adjustability in height, dampenining, and camber. You can even order custom spring rates. These are very good quality and I think a reasonable price. Has anyone had these installed? I will do a full review once I get them on the car. Heres a few pics of them installed (not mine)
  2. Came to my favorite website and saw something familiar, MY CARS. And my dog, Jelly. Thanks Mike, you've made my day. Cliff

Spent the morning replacing the oil pan gasket. While it CAN be done with the engine in the car it is a royal pain! Put on a new filter and filled her up with oil. Changed the air filter as well. Went to start it and it's completely dead. It has a brand new battery and has only sat for a week since I last started it up. I did find that a chasis ground wire had broken from the battery ground cable. I also found several other small broken wires around the engine bay. I'm guessing that if the battery were improperly grounded it could cause a drain? I need to get some heavier gauge wire and some heat shrink so I can fix the wiring that I can see is broken and then I'll try again. Would it be worth buying a new engine wiring harness?
  4. Nice!! Last weekend was a gorgeous day in the PacNW. Here's to a sunny and warm spring/summer so we can have more of these...
  5. I think I got lucky but this is a really nice core with a good cam. It was rated A , but never sure on these deals. If I needed a quick fix this head probably could have been made usable with very little money. This will be going on my L28 block that I am rebuilding now. Should be a screamer if I can tune her right
  6. Next I disassembled the headlight switch The headlight switch contacts are all dirty as well. Cleaned up Re-installed everything and the switches all work like new now! It was a lot easier than I thought, just takes some time and you have to be really careful taking things apart so you don't lose any small parts.
  7. What he said. Looks like you guys had a great time. It's so nice to see the camaraderie. One of the things I like about this place!

Yes, I am taking care of Cody. He is a really nice guy who wants no recognition let alone a reward and he guards his privacy. Let's just say it's between him and me and I am happy to reward such a humble, non-assuming man and his family.
  9. Been trying to adjust out the acceleration flat spot with new SM's. Seems OK (very nice at part throttle) but miss (burbling) at WOT transition from cruise. If I drop the jets enough to tune out the miss, then it's too rich everywhere else and would foul the plugs. Guess some polishing needed. It helped a lot with the N-27's, just needed a bit more. You have a lot more engine, so I doubt if "out of the box" SM's would help. More or thicker oil in the dashpots might do something, as far as making it harder to push up the pistons.

Well, here is a bit of good news for a change! Scott has his Z back! http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/04/23/owner-reunited-with-his-bluebird-a-stolen-vintage-sports-car.html
  11. It appears I don't have any close. I can check some more, but I did find these on carpart.com. One of these guys might ship for you. Prices seem ok C
