Added two wheels to my garage this weekend. This is a first for me, but it just looked like fun!

In any case it's from the right Brand!  Have fun with it.. don't park it with to much speed against a tree (Like i ones did...pfff...) I drove a fireblade ones and had to rebuild it three times..  luckily all at low speeds, ones i braked so hard it wend over the top. i walked away from it..   but a lot of damage to the bike.. these days i drive a mobile sofa.. also known as a GoldWing  HAHAHA.....  with his 400+ kg ,1832cc, 6 cilinder, 170Nm of torque it's a nice bike to cruise..

Oh boy!  Is it a 1,000cc or a 600?  Looks like a 1 liter as tall as it is.

You'll have trouble with your face getting hit by the handlebars all the way through third gear.  That's one helluva beginners bike. :wow:

It is a 500 with tuned exhaust etc... 2014 with less than 4000 miles. At my age a 500 will be enough to learn on!:D

Be sure to get the correct protective clothing for your new mid-life adventure - something like this comes to mind:

I miss my bike until I hear all the horror stories from the accidents, I'm sure you've seen them too in your profession.

Have fun and ride safe. :)

I have not only seen too many accidents involving motorcycles, but have lost two cousins, a good friend and a business partner to accidents. I plan to enjoy, but ride as safely as possible.

That looks awesome, JLPurcell! Though I have to agree with the others, ride safe, man. It's good to ramp up the speed once in a while, but what's even better is doing so and living to tell the tale. :)

I remember my time on the bikes as a great but dangerous time. Drive safe and always be one step ahead of the rest of the traffic, and gear up, NO shortcuts on the safety equipment.

Iam third from the left.

I'm sure you have put some miles on it by now but I wanted to add my experience from going from dirt bikes to street that almost cost me my right foot.  Dirt bikes you run hard into the turn and use the rear brake. Street bikes are completely opposite of that to me, 80% front and 20% rear.

That's just radical, man! You guys look like Superheroes on your motorcycles and gears. But seriously, yeah, safety comes first. :)

All go input on safety gear for sure!!! One other tip while riding.....always be aware that you may be invisible to people in cars. If motorcycles are not part of their lives they may subconsciously see you but really don't. I've been riding sport bikes for over 30 years and am still hear to talk about it. I just turned 66 years young and currently ride a highly modified 2009 Yamaha R1. As is said many time before....."If you ride on two wheels, its not a question if you will fall down, its just a matter of time." Most of all........just have fun.

"Just one mans opinion"

Another addition to my garage. Tiger Moth by TAXA. A lightweight utilitarian camping trailer. Can't wait for next springs Grand Canyon trip!
