Unless you REALLY want a Z with factory air and the 280Z has it, you know it's the car to part with.

I agree, the blue one goes.   Nice to see another person with three or more Z's.  I don't feel so bad now.  :)

That's my thinking too but I'm getting over the line with this hobby.  It has consumed my life, mind, money and storage space.  Time to reevaluate for me.

I'm not a wealthy person.  It's nerve wracking to say the least.  I want another boat too!  Girls don't get it when I won't go somewhere but buy an aluminium flywheel, weirdos. LOL

Now that I'm able to explain, unable to get a reply box?

I try to keep up but I know everybody else does to.  So wealth has nothing to do with it, determination is all you need and this forum.  Money helps but time and the right information is all I need.  Cliff

If I put a lift in they'd be one in my kitchen on one side and my bedroom on the other.  Or I could dig out and have a "drop" instead of a "lift".

Hire El Chapo's tunnel guys. LOL

Sorry Cliff, I must vote for the Camry to go ....

Just don't go out until its cooler.

Camrys are a dime a dozen.  That may be the thing to do.

Don't get rid of any of them. Add on to the garage! :-) I know what you're saying. Having 4 (or 19) cars takes up a lot of your time. I'd probably let the 280Z go if I had to choose.

I might like to adopt the red one ... what year is it? It would be going to a good Alabama home if that is important to you.

The 280 was like my high school car and my first car motor rebuild. Zero rust and I wouldn't hesitate driving it to Zcon in Canada. I prefer 240s but a 280 is a little more comfortable to drive. They're better long distant road trip cars and I'm planning on driving the Blues Highway in Mississippi this fall or winter. Plus being a grease monkey like I am that white interior has to go. LOL

All I see on my screen is "Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah."

Eddie Radatz girlfriend said y'all were having a 25th anniversary meeting tonight.  Another club member also inquired about my "blah, blah, blah".  Thanks for joining me up with your club. :D

I've got a guy wanting my phone number and says he'll pay me $8,000 and I'm only asking $6,950.  I google his phone number and it comes up Ontario.  What's his angle here, I can "conversate [sic]" just as well through email.  I don't get it, are there Nigerian princes in Ontario?

Maybe he meant $8000 Canadian dollars (which would be roughly $6K US)?

On the other hand, it's hard to find a good, rust-free S30 in these parts.  You and your cars offer a degree of being 'pre-vetted' and US $7000 isn't an extreme price.  This guy may be just trying for a knock-out bid so that he can bypass many of the unknowns that are usually part of shopping for and buying a rust-prone type of car from a distance.  I'd take the chance and hear him out.  Maybe keep it to email, though, until you get a better feel for what he's about.  We have just as many scam artists here in Ontario as there are in any other part of the world.

He lives in an apartment and his lan-line number has the exact toll free number.  He starts the email by saying "listen close" that scares me a little, I worked for an attorney's office doing collections.  I have a feeling for scams. :D

Tell him if he'll send you $700 Western Union that you'll hold it for 72 hours for him to get down here in person (... just don't give him *any* financial information or personal information and make up a name. I suggest "Iyainta Dumaz"). I had a guy that said he was in Arizona try to get me to send him money like that to hold a car. Turns out he didn't even have a Z ... he had just copied the pictures and description from another legitimate ad and posted it on Craigslist. I found the real ad posted at a car dealership ... same car down to the license plate. If your guy is a scammer, he'll wonder if he's dealing with another scammer! Personally, I would talk to the guy just to yank him around a bit ... maybe offer to go into business with him. I've had two instances looking to buy a Z where the deal was too good to be true and ... double-duhhh ... it wasn't true!

On the other hand, I bought my Z out of Austin Texas "siteunseen" and had it shipped to Alabama without ever meeting the owner. I felt pretty good that he was legit because he held the car for me for over a month and wouldn't take a deposit even though I offered one several times.

I replied back this morning at 6:30am and just now checked that inbox, no replies, so I think I scared him away.  "Listen Closely!" you don't talk to someone selling something you want like that.
