Pop's Z Posted October 30, 2015 Share #541 Posted October 30, 2015 Hey Matt, How are you going to keep water out of those? It's been my experience that moisture inside of the plastic will condensate. My Subaru Forester has a damaged seal on on of the headlights and there gets to be a lot of condensate inside. I actually drilled a couple of small holes in the lens to let the accumulated water out. They want about $180 for one and you have to dismantle the front end to get them out. And because the lenses are damaged by uv ,and because if one is going to dismantle the front end one should replace both at a cost of $300+ I have just been putting it off. Just wondering...... Cheers, Mike
HaZmatt Posted October 31, 2015 Author Share #542 Posted October 31, 2015 Hey Mike, theres a good 1/8" to 1/4" gap all around them so any water or moisture will just drain out like normal. The only pain is that I will have to take them off every time I wash the car now.
HaZmatt Posted November 2, 2015 Author Share #543 Posted November 2, 2015 Installed my new "Wanna-not-be's" 15x8 et0 Rota RKR's in magnesium black. Dunlop 205/55 Heres a shot of the Rota's next to my 16x7 Konig Rewinds And on the car I lowered it another 3/4" or so I really like the slight wider rim and the thicker sidewall. Subtle, but looks much better IMO. Best part is my wife has no idea I got new wheels!!
Patcon Posted November 2, 2015 Share #544 Posted November 2, 2015 I like the wider sidewalls too. I think it just looks more period correct and they tend to ride better too
