Replying to spam ads

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if the bot that posts the spam checks replies to the thread or if they set up the CZCC account to email all replies to a bot email account....however it may be best not to respond so that they do not get confirmation that their thread nor email is working...sort of like submarines going silent when they hear a destroyer...silence is golden.

Exactly. Use the Report button, the little triangle on the lower left of the post, to report the post as spam.

That's true on all pop ups that want you click No Thanks, always click the X in the top right corner and usually you won't get it again, at least in my experiences.

We love getting email on the kitchen spammer. Just kidding, keep those reports coming. You guys are the eyes and ears....maybe not ears. Sometimes a lot of members catch the spammers, it's great.

I see that there is a spammer in the 2015 ZCON thread as well.

I reported it, but nothing was done.

I probably agree, but that " Kitchen Sale Burnley" message that's been open on the list for the last 17 hours is calling out to me.

Alan must have purchased a hob or something online to trigger this :)

Hi guys, yes keep reporting these to me. However, today I installed an anti-spam module to help prevent unwanted registrations and spam ads. Hopefully these die down as a result.

Mike, the user edesonwright is a spammer, too. I'm not sure whether or not it's a bot.

Why are all the recent ones kitchen places in the UK?

Maybe they figure if you buy a new Cheap kitchen from the Uk, then the wife will let your buy Zcar parts?
