 Unless one owns a multi task CO2 extinguisher that will also chill beer.

I bought a 2.5lb Kidde unit and mounted it behind the passenger seat by using a 5"x10" piece of 5mm thick black ABS plastic with 4 riv nuts placed to coincide with the fire extinguisher's bracket holes. I placed the ABS base under the carpet and secured it to the floor with 3M heavy duty double stick tape, replaced the carpet and put 4 bolts through the base and carpet into the riv nuts. Finally I placed the extinguisher into it's very secure base.

 

To mount my fire extinguisher I bought something called the Bracketeer.

I mounted it in front of the passenger seat.  It bolts to the factory seat mount bolts.  The clearance is nice.  It does not hinder the movement of the seat.

@2377kNthis mount will not fit for a 240Z, right? I can't remember that there is the front part of the seat rail bent down like in your picture..? 

I found a rechargeable First Alert, all metal that fits perfectly in the bin behind the passenger's seat.

I've never had a chance to check out a 240z interior, so I can't say if the braketeer it will work in one.

Has anyone installed this mount or identified a similar solution?
