Who's 280Z is this on Griot's Garage?

ZEXY 280Z, love the skinny bumpers and the 510 in the background is Pete Brock's V8 ''DATZILLA''

This Z was at ZCON 2011 and won easily. It came in one of Brock's BRE trailers and the car was well thought out with custom pieces that were balanced with original parts. A real sweet Z!

Right John......He placed first.....Eiji was 2nd. Beautiful car....absolutely perfect. My guess is he probably had a minimum of $50,000.00 invested. I believe he was from Oregon.

The rumor I heard was well north of $50,000, though I have nothing to confirm what I heard.

Just a guess Steve.....you're probably right....could push $100,000.00. It won the big trophy too......You won't have to compete against him next ZCON! You saw it.....It was perfect.

it's gorgeous! the attention to detail is incredible! Anyone know what kind of seats are those?

One word... Perfect. As others have said the execution is just beautiful. A great balance of modern custom touches with the seats, billet pieces, etc but still maintaining the classic look. Plus, having the 240z bumpers on the 280z just shows that is how they should have come from the factory. I don't know if I would spend $50K - $100K on a 280z but I would give good money for one similar to that one.

Agreed about the bumpers. One of these days I'm going to make the jump myself to the proper bumpers.....Though, I have to say those crash bumpers have saved me.

I was at ZCON and talked to him and was told over 125,000 invested with paint costing 18,000.
