How many manufactures can you list up?

Featured Replies

I have nothing to add to the thread ( way beyond me at the moment ), but I had to add that I love every thread kats starts. They're always so detailed and insightful. keep em' coming!

Nabco - master cylinders

IKI - lights

Lucas - alternators/other 'faulty' electrical components :classic:

JATCO - transmissions

Isn't the clock 'Jideco' (or are we looking a a translation problem?)

JECS - possibly things like the PS30 iginition module? But certainly the EFI system in later model cars.

Trico - Wiper arms

The clock is Jeco I think, well it is in the 240 and its KS in the 260Z (Kanta Seiki?)

Cheers

My OEM clock says "JECO"

ok, ok :classic:

So my clock has been sitting on a shelf for the last 5 years as it's place in the dash is home to my oil-temp guage & I've forgotten the brand.

hey guys. I know this thread is more than 11 years old but i like it and thought i might give it a few minor corrections and updates:

1. TORCO LTD: Original Manufacturer of Suspension springs (Nissan Subsidiary)
2: JATCO: I think they made only the Automatic transmission, since their name is "Japanese Automatic Transmission Corporation" and still up-to-date only manufacture CVT's and Automatic transmissions. If anyone knows who made the original 5-speed i would be very interrested.
3. HITACHI: A side from the Carbs and other small stuff they also made the Rear diff's (R180, R190, ...)
4. NILES Corportation: A side from the stuff noted above they also made the Hazard flasher unit and probably other flasher units and electronics.

Old thread but lots of great info.  Here's a couple more:

Yazaki/spark plug wires and electrical connectors

Bando/fan belts

Here's an interesting video on the 110 year history of Bando:
