2002tii vs 240Z 1 2 3

I might get banned for this, but heck . . . . Last Sunday I drove a really good friends early '70s 2002tii, and wow it was incredible!! He had a performance cam on it, original mechanical fuel injection, and the steering was tightened up, but with pretty much stock suspension. I've never driven a 240Z, and as there are 2002's for sale at similiar prices as comparable quality Z's around up here, how do the two stack up? The BMW is sure ugly, but once your inside it doesn't matter much. Thanks!

Did anyone see that brown 280ZX get clobbered by squad cars during a chase tonight on TV? It was sad, and the assclown driving it was a car thief. Let's have a moment of silence for the car and owner.

I think I may have almost fallen for an EBay scam...here are the details, although I left out exact names. I included whole text of emails in case someone has run into this before--sorry for the length So I've been looking for a set of 44 Mikunis to put on my L28, and found a recent EBay auction advertising them. I bid, but lost by 10 bucks to a well-known Mikuni-supporting company on the East Coast. A couple days later I receive an email stating the initial high bidder backed out for financial reasons, and I could buy them if I still wanted them. I initially said yes, while noting that the email address and name on the Second Chance Offer differed from the seller's …

I took my Lady Zed for a run this morning and stopped off at the shop on the way home. When I came out of the shop, there was a bloke looking at my "Precious". I've noticed him at the shopping centre a few times. Have to be patient and understanding with him, as there's only fifty cards in his deck. As I placed my purchases in the car the bloke said, in a deep monotone, "This yours ??". I said "Yes, it is". He said, "I like sports cars, what is it". I was tempted to play it smart and say, "It's a car", but I thought that, as this bloke seemed to be at least one sandwich short of a picnic, I'd play it straight so I said, "It's a Datsun 260Z". He then asked, "Who makes 'em?"…

Remember my "OFF TOPIC BUT !!!!!!!!!" thread ??????????? Well, here's what I was going to post at the time but my "She Who Must Be Obeyed 'Cause She's Always Right Even When I prove She's Wrong" had thrown the magazine I was going to quote from into the garbage bin and I had to retrieve it. As everyone seemed to be having fun with the thread anyway, I thought I'd wait a few days before trying again. Anyway, There's an article in the R.A.C.Q's magazine, The Road Ahead, that demonstrates REAL pulling power. I quote, "Veteran truckie John Atkinson set a new world road train record in February when he dragged 1474m of trailers over the required 100m distance in Clifton. Using…
