All, I'm looking at getting a set of these pansports imported to Australia. I cannot find any mags out here that I like. I was wondering if someone in America could tell me the price of a new set, and where in the US I could order some. If the price turns out OK, I will then organise shipping. I have a mate going over there soon to pick up a Austin Healey 3000 so I will see if I can get them in the same crate. Thanks OzLime240Z

Will 17" x 8" with 225/45/17 fit under a 1" lowered 240Z? Taking into account the correct offset. I don't need an expensive mistake.:tapemouth

How much would my gearing drop if I went from 195 70 14 tires to 2somthing 60 14 tires? I am tired of having pizza cutters. BTW: I am running 4.07 gears.

OK, so I'm a noobie at all this wheel crap. My other cars either had lots of wheels that fit easy (DSM) or no wheels besides Panasports (4x3.75 Lotus and 4x110 early RX-7). So I have no ideas about this whole backspacing to offset thing. Reading descriptions doesn't help - I mean I get the ideas but, never can find any real numbers to compair :stupid: SO.... Short and simple, what will it take to fit on a 240sx wheel on my 81? What size spacers?

I was under the impression rear wheel drive cars could run any offset with the use of spacers...then in reading the post by Mike240 which he said Z's require a 0 offset, I got confused. Just wondering the validity of this statement. What is the best offset for the Z?

I'm a relatively newbie to cars and i happend to get a 240Z for my first car....i've had it for one summer well half of it, it's parked now fo the winter...i've got some 195/60R 14 85H Ok now i have NO idea of what these numbers mean...can anyone help me with that? They are the yokohama or something along those lines in the brand name.. They are pretty old, and cracked, and the front i found has a really slow leak. and they suck at getting grip of the line. So can someone tellme what the numbers mean? And what kind of tires i should get for the best performance? Steering, getting grip.... anyways thanks alot.

Dear All, As I was having trouble deciding on the appropriate tire to buy for my 240 decided to search the net. I found this sight and became a member because it seemed very comprehensive. Anyway, I have the 14X7 slotted mags on my car. Currently I have Pirelli P44 195/70 14's that came on the car when i bought it. When going around tight corners I rub. Does anyone else have this wheel tire combo? Do/did you have the same problem. I am thinking about going to a 195/60, minimal section width difference with a smaller diameter, I think. I am definitely not a tire expert. Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Damon

Does anyone know, for the love of God, who sells and/or where I can find some 16 or 17" thin spoke five or six star wheels (like Konig's Rated R or Toxxin, or the Cobra R) that offers(or even special makes them for the 240Z)? And the ones that do(like Revo Wheels, require you to mortgage your house to pay for them. If anyone here is from Revo wheels, I'm sorry. I love the 17"RZX line for the Z, but I'm not about to pay $225 a wheel for those. $150 or LESS per wheel is what I'm looking for. I am ready to kill somebody. Pleeeez help me. Thanks everybody.

I recently purchased a set of factory six spoke aluminum wheels (14X6) off a 280ZX, which I’m going to mount on my ’72 Z. The plan is to replace all current rubber bushing with urethane ones and install a set of Tokico struts and spring as well. What is largest tire size that I will be able to mount on these wheels without worrying about anything rubbing? I’m hoping to go with 60 series rubber like 195/60s or even 205/60s. Am I about in the right ballpark given the wheels and suspension setup? Thanks! :nervous:

I am thinking of having some 16x6 wheels made up for my Z, a 72 240. It's completely stock now, down to the hubcaps, and the tires are severely limiting with their tall sidewalls. I'm thinking of going to a 216/50/16 tire all the way around, but want to be sure they don't rub anywhere. Can I get your thoughts? What are your experiences? Devin
