Hello all. I am trying to find the name of a specific piece i am missing. It is the part right under the glovebox. i can tell i'm missing something there because i see where the screws would theoretically go in should i have that completed panel. once again its the part that would go under the glovegbox but above the passenger legs (of course). Thanks

Does anyone have experience polishing/buffing black plastic such as the plastic heater control knobs, interior trim, ashtrays, etc? I have some old parts that look like they might clean up nicely, but need more than Simple Greenand a tooth brush. Thanks for your input. adamr

In my 78 I was digging around under the rear deck compartment a while back and found an old breaker bar and the original tool bag up behind the seats sticking out of one of the tool box openings behind the passenger seat, but there is no cut out for a hatch in the deck or in the carpet. Ive been looking for confirmation that Datsun quit installing the boxes in later z's but I can't find any help. Is this the norm? And does anyone know where I could get a kit to install the boxes? In my old 75 280 back home it has the metal lids and everything so i was confused when there werent any on this 78.

Ok guys, before you guys start using that "search" word hear me out. I bought my 72 240 a while back and it is missing the right side door panel completely so I was searching around trying to find one and getting really discouraged when I couldn't find any new replacements (when I say new I mean manufactured in the past few years not NOS) that didn't cost as much as the car. So I got to thinking (I am an engineer after all) of ways to make new ones. I thought of fiberglass, fiberboard and various other materials. Making them in this manner would be fairly economical for making one but that doesn't help out the Z crowd... My thought is to have some thermoformed (plasti…

In a 72 240Z can the headliner be installed without removing the windshield and side header parts? My headliner has to be replaced, but my headers are in good shape and I want to avoid destroying them to get them off the car. Thanks Miles

So I sat in my passenger side seat, pulled the lap belt across and now it does not retract. Anyone know how to fix this? It was working fine before. I did unbolt the contraption to hide some wires, and then I bolted it back in. Did I mess something up? Thanks, Wilson

I saw a couple of old posts on this, but nothing real definitive. Does anyone know how much surgery is required to install ZX seats into a 240? Thanks.

So I have been reading for an hour and trying to find a thread on someone cleaning their center console...No luck. I have a nice console but it is looking a little tired. I'm thinking the sun has faded it a little and it looks dirty even though I washed it with mild soap and water. Has anyone successfully cleaned their console, making it look good again? or is the secret to spray it with trim paint? I appreciate any feedback I can get. Cheers, Chris

I could be totally wrong on this one, but this looks to be a compe steering wheel from a sport package on a j-spec Z or it could be a 73 240 steering wheel. If anyone could help me on this one I would appreciate it. That would be so awesome if it was the compe. -Ben

I got door panels that are now in quite good condition BUT passenger side panel has bended from front so its hard to install. I was thinkin that heat might have done that, cause the vinyl is ok. So is there any nice way to bend it back? re-heat vinyl or something? I'll add pictures asap. I'll also need good advices how to remake those brushes () that are in top of the door panels.
