  1. Thank you Kats!! Very interesting! Great stuff. Chris A.
  2. Hi Ron, our city is currently prosecuting a 17 year old who killed his 15 year old passenger March 26th. He hit a tree also at high speed. He walked away. He did NOT have a driver's license at the time. Because he had EIGHT convictions for driving without a license between October and this week. He also has been ticketed for reckless driving and for leaving the scene of an accident in October, among other things. I know we all hope that reckless drivers don't try crazy stunts again after a major incident but you just wonder sometimes. The 17 year old I'm talking about was pulled over and ticketed for no license ONE DAY after being charged with vehicular manslaughter. UNBELIEVABLE!! I'm glad the girl in the Z did not die. Chris A.

Hi Arne, I have a 240SX for a daily driver. The spare is a space saver. I will have to check the fitment on a Z. I know the other 4 wheels wont fit a Z. Too much offset, hits the struts. But the space saver might fit. FWIW, Chris A.
  4. Hello Kats, I was hoping you could tell me what the black canister is on the radiator bulkhead of the 432? Thank you very much for the pictures and video. Regards, Chris A.
  5. I am stunned. Thanks for sharing this Chris. I have missed both of them on this site for quite some time. 43.....jeez. My thoughts are with them today. I hope Carl is giving Scott the grand tour. Peace be with them and us all. Chris A.

  7. Hi Al, check this out. I don't know if they have it in stock though. Have to call them I guess. Item #4. http://www.blackdragonauto.com/icatalog/z/0075.asp Much luck with your project. Chris A.

  10. Great stuff Dave!! The track looks sweet. Was that the 3.1 mile version? Thanks, Chris A.
  11. Looking good Adam! Nice write up too. Chris A.
  12. Thanks Ron, never a doubt in my mind. BRE car... ROFL Chris A.
  13. I think we can all agree on the difference between the auction listed in this thread and this.................
  14. Got the new Road and Track yesterday. They had a very small article on the Nismo Z. It does NOT come with a 3.8 according to them. 3.5 with a 5 horse increase. They mention a 400 horse 3.8 that was in a racing series Fairlady but they questioned why Nissan didn't drop that into the Nismo Z. R&T did praise the car for its balance, brakes and new looks. I actually like the new nose and the crazy rear lower fascia. FWIW, Chris A.
  15. Awesome Randy!! Love the side stripes. Nice work. Chris A.
  16. Hi Bruce, Based on what you said above, I'd bet those are original fuses. Maybe Carl Beck or Chris Wenzel can chime in on that though. Carl bought his Z new and may remember what factory new fuses look like. I personally have never seen anything but the ones we're all accustomed to seeing. Chris A.
  17. Welcome Huigo. Sent you a private message. (PM) Where are you located? New England or Nebraska? Chris A.
  18. Welcome to the site Guy. If you post your pictures in this thread we will be able to see them immediately. If you post to the main gallery on the front page it takes a bit for a moderator to approve them. Chris A.
  19. Hi Stephen, Dumb question here. How does the car know when you've changed the oil? Reset button of some kind? Just wondering. FWIW, I use the 3000 mile interval on my vehicles. The Xterra is on Nissan's 7500 interval but something about a hard working truck engine with an oil filter smaller than an orange and only 3.75 quarts of oil makes me change it at 3000. Thanks for the article Carl. Chris A.
  20. Great! Thanks Vic. Chris A.
  21. Stephen and Zulaytr are both correct. From: http://www.courtesyparts.com/s30_oil.html Chris A.
  22. All my Nissan's have a copper washer. Z's, 240SX and Xterra. If the underside of the pan plug and the area around the pan hole is not buggered up, the copper washer will seal every time and not leak. I do wish the Z pan plug had more of a washer incorporated into the hex. The S13 and the X have much better pan plugs than the Z. I use one new OEM Nissan washer after about 4 oil changes. I've tried auto parts and hardware store versions and they are too thick. The Nissan washer has a certain crush factor that when tightened conforms to the plug and the pan surface. But after awhile it kind of tears/shreds and then its time for a new one. FWIW, I work at a truck dealership and we use coppers on all the major engine's pan plugs also. Mack, Cat, Cummins, Detroit Diesel and Mercedes Benz. Chris A. P.S. Courtesy Nissan in Texas can get you some.

  24. Thanks Bruce, I must have got an UP set then. So I'm not upset! Yep, my brother-in-law's Healey runs like a scalded dog. Big 6 with triple's stock. Chris A.
  25. OUCH!!!!! That stung a little considering what I spent on them. Okay, Bruce, when the time is right for me I'll call you about getting triples. Chris A.
