Nate, I to have made many trips to "not too badly rusted" cars,has many I'm sure. Shipping wasn't too terribly expensive....My quote for open carrier was $575 terminal to terminal,$675 pickup at sellers location to terminal,$775 I think seller to buyer address...I went with a enclosed trailer due to the salt and all this time of year for around a grand...course they hit you up for all kinds of insurance,I bought comp/coll from my local carrier to be covered on the way here just in case. There seem to be quite a few early zs out west...go west young man,and have a friend check it out first..... david spillman

HI Gary, No reason for anyone to be sorry for my actions. As far as test drives are concerned,I've driven 240s since 1983....."long time for me,but not to some original owners". My Green tan interior 72 was my first car that I owned in my name..but, I know what you mean. I'm not a confrontational guy,ask anyone. But I won't take any crap,if it matters. I didn't question the written word of a...... ya'll heard it before. Yep,I'm crazy about the 240z with a passion,both race and street cars. TT driver, As Frank13 said the head is correct for the car,with L24 stamped,its the correct "size" block for car.... I respectfully add that the numbers following the L24 should match the metal information tag screwed to the passenger side strut tower,inside engine compartment 99% of the time. The VIN # on that same tag should also match the VIN number stamped on firewall to be the original engine for that car.... I've been surprised over the past week or two, of the number of people that aren't truly aware of how to determine what engine is supposed to be sitting in their engine bay. David Spillman

I've seen 2 of these cars,the 73 on ebay a while back and another car "71" again on ebay with a blue air box...same style as the 71-72 air box w/the summer winter flapper....if these did come on the 260 it would explain things,because I know nothing in relative terms about 260s...... Howdy, Have noticed a couple of 72-73 air boxes that are blue ..almost a Carolina blue in color. What's the deal with orange versus blueboxes...... Searched "blue air box" with no luck One on a ahem...very clean car advertised as 40-50000 mile 73 240...but with early SUs. thanks, David Spillman

I wrongly ______ "fill in the blank" that the only verifiable part would be there. " Major case of buyers remorse." Don't worry, I'm finished with repeating my story in what I consider to be my/our little community,publically. As all repeated stories are passed some details become twisted to a degree.
