  1. I'm fairly certain it's from a Nissan Patrol - with a C210 / R30 steering wheel.
  2. I wonder how much the reserve is... I would quite like that engine! Also, I'm wondering if the picture of the interior is of the same car??? Does not look like a 240K interior.
  3. Very interesting! They certainly were spoilt for choice back at home. In Australia we only ever got the 2+2, and 2+2 T-bar I believe... definitely short end of the stick on that one! Thanks for all the information though. The structure of the VIN prefixes is good - very sensible and consistent at Nissan it seems compared to some other companies... Sorry for making this thread go off-topic MOM! I believe your original question has been answered now though.
  4. Yes I saw that too Arne! What was going on there?? It does look like a beautiful car though. In fact they all do (for what they are). Congratulations on your 2nd place!! It's great that Japanese cars are finally being recognised at events on the same level as others.

    What a fantastic piece of art. No, not my tastes at all, but I can appreciate it. I love the idea of the leopard "beast" tearing its way out from beneath... Nice paint!! P.S. I do not think it's a gold tail pipe. Just a stainless steel item.

Some of this is news to me - I did not know they had an S130 L20ET for starters! Please don't worry about the "lesser" comment, I was just asking! Can I ask, the difference between the S130 Fairlady Z-L and Z-T much the same as the difference between the S30 Fairlady Z-L and Fairlady Z in Japan? Also, you noted that the Turbo models were equipped with the L20ET. Was the L28ET available in any S130 in Japan?

  9. Hm, I believe Carl is talking about the S30 shape Datsun 280Z (like a 240Z with big bumpers), and Alan is talking about the S130 shape Nissan Fairlady 280Z (practically a 280ZX). The picture Alan posted is most definitely an S130!
  10. What? The '1' was "added" to both RHD and LHD when the S130 model came out. All Alan is saying is that it was called the Fairlady 280Z in Japan, not 280ZX. Or am I getting confused now? Alan (or anyone else), do you know if the L28-equipped S30 was ever sold officially anywhere but in the USA? Also, I am assuming the S130 Fairlady 280Z was sold alongside the (lesser?) model Fairlady Z (with L20?)?

  14. Wherever I can! I stash stuff away in lots of places in the garage - wherever there is room. Plenty of boxes and stuff in the bedroom too ... and the computer room... mother hates it but I've got no where else to put it !
  15. I have also heard that the track of the GT-R was different to the other models. Remember they had disc brakes too... I already gave you as much information as I can on my car... can't say anything about brake clearances though. I too would like details on the supplier like I already asked though ...
  16. Nice, though I have to add that the first picture is not of the same car as the other two pictures (in case anyone didn't notice). The SWB C110's are even more "imbalanced" in appearance as their bonnet is shorter by 2 pistons. They came with the G16 or G18 engines. They also came in hardtop and van versions
  17. Yup Craig got it pretty spot on. I once bought a Road Signature just to see the quality. Alex, this is about as close as you'll get to the John Morton 46 car........ and it's pretty crap. It's the same as Craig's rally car except with different paint/decals. Still retains the hubcaps and rally tyres.... I wouldn't bother with the Sunstar models either. Let's just say the extra money for the Kyosho models is worth it. You can get a 240ZG, Z432 or (LHD) 240Z too
  18. The 240K will be very very similar - but not the same. They have the L24 engine like a 240Z and a similar transmission. Pedal boxes etc. should be similar too I'd imagine. But yeah like Arne said, there are a few posts here and there about the conversion specifically for 240Z:)
