Buying a 240z..
Turbo six? I guess you're talking about someone doing a swap with a 280ZX Turbo, Skyline turbo or maybe 300ZX Turbo engine... cos you DO realise they never came stock with a turbo dont you? It'd be pretty rare to find one still, and even if you do, my bet is it wont be cheap.

Old Car Price Guide
those prices seem to represent Australian Z cars also... only difference is those are AMERICAN dollars... So I guess that means Z's are worth double the amount over there

Frame Rail Damage
Where should you put the jack then? Say a Z has a frame rail which was rusted out from the inside and then someone put a jack undeneath it and the frame rail crumpled right through and put a crack in the floorpan. The rail and floorpan need replacing but not on the other side. How expensive would that job be?

Paint chips for Datsun
If the colours for the Z didn't change between 1970 and 1971 then the 1970 chart is what I want. Basically Im looking for the silver Datsun offered for the 240Z in 1971..... thanks !

Indicator Speed
Are all Zs' indicators so sloooow?? Mine stay on for, say, a bit less than 2 seconds, and go off for about half a second. It seems very slow... ricers adjust their indicators somehow to make them flash on and off really fast, so one would expect the mod to be cheap and quick. Is that the truth?

avoiding rust traps
Mine is an ERPS system, but I never knew there were any others. Maybe the cheaper system works just the same! Maybe you should ask the blokes at the most expensive place WHY exactly theirs is more expensive.

I'm new -what does ZED mean?
I've got a story about a Scottish nurse at a hospital I will share with you. And it's true! A patient (we'll call her Mrs. Wicker for the story) in was very sick in the Hospital because of some sort of bladder problem where she couldn't urinate very well or something (sorry I'm no doctor as you can see!). Anyway, the nurse took care of her for a long time and this one doctor regularily saw her. Anyway, one day as the doctor was coming in the nurse took the doctor to the side and told the doctor, "Mrs. Wicker passed a wee!" "Well that's fantastic", the doctor said with real enthusiasm The nurse was utterly shocked - "She just died and youre happy?!?!" The doctor was my mum ROFL

Rust elimination
The panels I've been told are warped - this is especially evident with the hatch lid as at the top it's fine then at the bottom left it's sticking up half an inch and on the right it's fine. Where the hatch attaches on the right there are a few spacers and on the left there is one or two. The bonnet sticks up at the front right, down at the rear left, normal at the rear right and up a little bit at the front left. The bonnet flaps have that typical bow in the middle of them where people push them to close, and hte one on the left is a bit too far to the left. The doors stick out at the bottom but fine everywhere else... I think replacing the front left fender (my dad hates me saying that - he's anti-american ) might be the way to go - there are a hell of a lot of little scratches and it's been panel beaten in the past as the crease in the bodywork is a bit wobbly. I look forward to seeing your tutorial kmack! I guess I'll ask about it when I go quote-hunting next week.

I'm new -what does ZED mean?
It's really no use... I say per-jo (not pewjo!) I say porsh (correct way to say it is indeed porsha!) I say Daywoo (some say dayoo) I say Jag-u-ah (some say jagwaa) I say Cob-rah (some say Co-bra with the o as in 'coke') I say ren-oh (some say ren-alt) I say Zed. And merc is short for mercedes, not mercury! While we're on the subject, anyone know the CORRECT way to say Murcielago? Using my Italian knowledge I say Mer-che-lah-go but I've no idea if that's right or not...
