Clock question again
You need ot find some young guy to sit down with you for half an hour and work it out. Either that, or read the manual!!!

1973 240K Coupe
That looks right! On my brochure I bought it says: 8.6:1 compression ratio (close enough) 130BHP @ 5600 rpm (same) torque 20.0 kg m @ 3600 rpm which translates into torque 145ft lbs @ 3600 rpm So there we go - I htink you've got hte right engine! If you could type out the rest of the information about the engine, or better yet, scan in any relevant info, that'd be great

1973 240K Coupe
PHEW! I guess I'll have to go and look at the VIN on the actual car.... ... and I thought Z's were confusing ...

1973 240K Coupe
THanks guys Z Kid, that sounds like a good idea, I'll look into it... Halz, thanks for that I'd appreciate it. I'm guessing I might be able to get a bit of kick out of her if I put a couple of new carbs on and a full exhaust system with extractors. I'm just not too keen on this as it will make the car not original. Although, they're not worth much anyway... don't think they're going to ever be worth much to be honest.

1973 240K Coupe
Alan Mine is the same model as "nixcars", a GL model. I'm not being given any pocket money that's why I'm thinking of sel... no I wont say that here, I dont want to be HD&Q! If you still are confused (I know I am! All those P's and Q's do that to you...) dont stress, I'll post some pictures up shortly. It's amazing what one less carbouretor, a different head and an auto gearbox can do to a car AH in fact that might be something you could enlighten me on Alan. What are the differences between the L24 in the 240Z and the L24 in the 240K? cya ! lachlan

1973 240K Coupe
Alan - the rear quarter panel is completely different? From the pics I've seen it looks the same! (Dont worry I dont think I'll be trying ot make a replica anyway, I'm just interested!) At the moment I have my 240Z as well, which is great as I could just about start my own museum! I'm not sure if I'll be keeping him (240z) for long though... it's expensive to register 2 cars!

1973 240K Coupe
Gee sorry guys next time I'll get one of the earlier Skylines for ya Now one of those KPGs would be REALLY nice. Did they ever make a 2 door non-GTR version? btw anyone in Australia know where I can get some parts for this car?

1973 240K Coupe
Wow, yours looks to be in good nick too. I'm still thinking about turning mine into a GTR replica... would be easier than yours - mine's already in white!! I love the look of those old GTRs... with a RB30 it'd go like the bejeezus too! good to know there's another C110 owner here!

1973 240K Coupe
It's a 240K Coupe. Called a Skyline in Japan... the first Skyline to have round tail lights I think !

Hope everyone is ok
THe fires around Canberra truly are disasterous. No one on this board that I know of comes from Canberra though... so I dont think anyone HERE is in danger. THank you for your support though - I think the fires are reasonably under control now??

1973 240K Coupe
Suspension is as follows: Front: Independant, double-acting damper- strut type with coil springs, anti-roll barand tension rods. Rear: Independant semi-trailing arms with coil springs, double acting telescopic nitrogen gas / oil shock dampers. It is a KGC110 I think? Beautiful car to drive... so quiet! A bit tankish though. Definitely cruising material.

the Z I own
Well apparently they're the easiest carbs to fiddle with, but I dont know much about them... they can go out of whack very easily... if you have them I suggest learning how to tune them (I should probably take my own advice too!)

the Z I own
sorry can't help you there! All I can suggest is BE CAREFUL!

the Z I own
I think you'd have to work out WHEN this was done to the back of the car before trying to make it "original". If it was done at the dealer or something then I'd leave it be. If the PO did it 5 years ago then blast away. Personally, I like the looks of the car more when the back is painted black instead of grey, but as far as originality goes....

1973 240K Coupe
Yea that's the problem ! It's so good I dont want to mess with it.

the Z I own
Wow... what a ride. I guess a car like that is as much of an investment as a car! That's a lot of money though... I'm beginning to wonder how much more the value of them can go! welcome aboard - this place is quite simple and easy to use once you get the hang of it. Just ignore most of the crap and you're fine

1973 240K Coupe
Hiya I'm now the proud owner of one of these little beasts! It's white and absolutely immaculate, and even better, 100% totally stock. I'm wondering if the TYRES are even the originals because they do look mighty old and the tread looks like that in the brochure I bought on ebay a while back... Anyway, does anyone know where I can find info about them on the net!? I've tried but I can only seem to find very limited info... I'll take pictures
