  4. hello all. question here , should I use a motor flush , the car sat for roughly 1-2 years , it has oil in it now and the car is running but I haven't driven it yet , was gonna change the oil and didn't know it would doing more harm to use and engine flush to ge the sludge out , I am gonna replace the sending unit and clean the cam oiler bar after I flushed the engine, Also anyone heard of putting tranny fluid in the crankcase to loosen up that stuff? I honestly don't know if it is that dirty show 84k on the odo and the papers the previous owner had suggest this is true as well , thanks

yes you can use 1989 ish toyota 4 runner calipers and a i think its 83 turbo disks but you have to use a spacer plate , seen them on ebay and other sites usually runs 65-85 bucks a set for the spacers and then just get the other parts that you can get from a junk yard , good luck:geek:
  8. i had the same issue , i switched from the phillips to a regular screw drive and had someone hold the carbs as I leaned into it to put pressure on it and they came out ok , but even the z therapy video says use a regular screwdriver , good luck:geek:
  9. ok its runs great on choke but can't get the car to idle off choke so I can tune the carbs , as soon as I release the choke it idle drops off way too low, and its running very rich from the exhaust , I have the z therapy video but their car idled without the choke on :stupid: appreciate any help Jeff:geek:
  10. i just got done with rebuilding mine using the video , it was great , still not up to speed with tuning but heh one out of two isn't bad
  11. Enkei made a clone a long time ago I see on like ebay and such and I believe western did a simliar style wheel , good luck but like someone else pointed out it should be stamped somewhere:geek:
  12. ok first does it make any noise at all when you attempt to start? if not you might want to check for an inline fuse , alot of datsuns have them and when one goes its like you don't have a battery in the car, check the manual or a service book < chiltons> for it, try that if you are not getting any noise good luck Jeff:geek:

if you find a radiator shop specifically , most people charge around 80-100 to recore it <believe that is the term> I have seen the the 3 rows at msa for 200, not sure how much you were gonna spend , but I have found the dirtier and older the radiator guy is , the better the work he does , not sure why :classic: good luck ,
  22. sounds crazy but have you had any work done on the back of the car in the last 6 months or so , if so check the area serviced , there are alot of parts that could come lose if someone didn't do it correctly , had that happen to me but I would bet on u-joints , good luck:geek:
  23. actually its the aluminized and with the ssssuperrrr turbo muffler as if there was super diffrence :geek:
  24. ok I went with all of your suggestions and got the turbo exhaust from msa , hhm does anyone have a pic of it installed on their car so I can make sure to get on correctly , I know you are saying it only goes on one way but I am sure I can find another way <especially the wrong one> also does the tip have to be welded on at a muffler shop? and is recommend having a muffler shop tack it after I get it bolted in? any thoughts would be great thanks
