I broke two in a row and when I was replacing it myself instead of having a mechanic do it I found my transverse link bushings were completely shot,replaced them with urethane as well and no trouble since. Thats been several years now. My2c H Houghton

It runs across from the passengers side,mine was cut so I had to unwrap the harness back a bit to find it and run another one. Best, H Houghton

I had an xr700 and a stock point set up and it worked fine,I had to settle my wiring issues here because Crane customer service was hopless,they blamed the tach, TCZC solved the problem. I don't know about a '72 however mines a 9/70 but I bet the answers here somewhere.

Set my mount a couple of days ago it slid in like a lamb no hassels at all, will mount the differential as soon as I redo the spindle pin bushings,made a tool today will test it next week. Is the hole in that thrust bearing large enough that the lug nut nose fits inside it?

I was thinking of using SAE threads for everything but the tapped hole for the spindle pin itself,figured parts would be easier to find that way.
