  1. Stays flexible. Working great for my rebuild casings.
  2. There is a trick to removing the tail shaft as well.
  3. All of the seals were still available through Nissan. There is a complete parts list posted by @EuroDat on the forum. With @dave wm help he guided me through resealing two close ratio transmissions. Be sure to change all of the seals including the ones in the shifter housing. I have a small amount of parts not many including the main shaft nut I didn’t need. Also the detent springs and ball bearings are still available as well as the speedo seal. Check out @EuroDat. A plethora of information there. I just took a torch to my shifter and put a small curvature in it to clear 5th gear.

  8. I think it’s a 1975 280z head on a later block, Pretty sure about the head. @SteveJ
  9. I’m frustrated at this point and can’t keep participating in a thread where not reporting back the findings in order to move forward in a systematic manner for a positive outcome is extremely frustrating for me personally. Familiarizing and educating yourself before jumping into this is extremely important. For that reason I’m out. Wish you the best yarb
  10. So you aren’t going to send them out to be rebuilt first? Not a good idea IMO.
  11. That’s all fine and dandy until the next guy goes by the textbook trying to fix it. Sure it won’t take long to see that it’s jacked up!

Points/Condenser is the simplest ignition system ever. Frequent maintenance is what took them away from the industry. Easiest system to debug.
  13. Please Read the FSM. It will tell you exactly what to do. There is a soft copy available here on the forum. Do you have a copy to read?
  14. @ShawninvancouverPlease read the FSM. You are asking questions without doing research. You have a long road ahead. Prepare yourself and get educated on this car.

There is a Japanese brand out there that’s superior. Gates is in the hose and belt industry IMO. I’ll follow up with the name. Aisin available on Amazon $38.50
  16. Works perfectly
  17. Do you have one of those harbor freight scissor jacks? They work great for removing the tank. I couldn’t reach the hoses on top without lowering it.

Here we are 13 pages on this thread trying to figure out a wiring diagram.
  19. Exactly what @Captain Obvious was talking about and what I am going to install. If interested I can follow up with more instructions.
  20. @SteveJ If I may, most probably in the harness. Have not gone back in the thread, did you test the gauge itself?
  21. Put a set on my 280 no issues.

@ShawninvancouverThe biggest issue here is you need to be at the car and follow instructions which we have given. Secondly in the time you are not able to be there, Read, educate yourself on how the system works. I think you are looking for an easy fix and there aren’t any without gaining knowledge. Videos,Diagrams and a multitude of folks are trying to help, There are not any answers without real time measurements step by step. You’re going to end up going down a rabbit hole as we call it here on the forum. Study the FSM it’s the Bible for this car. I apologize if my response is somewhat strong but we are going round and round in circles.

That has nothing to do if it’s firing or not another battle for another day. The wire runs right through the tach in series. We Need MEASUREMENTS!!
