I used the template downloads from the site and had the same offset issue. Had to make adjustments to the template just like you illustrated. I used JEGS Quiet Ride sound / heat insulation. It doesn't have foil, though. It was the material most similar to stock. Pretty easy to install. Heat gun and a roller.

It's meant to be display art. It's all full of bling and flash. New looking parts and plated pieces that add lots of reflection. Real zow factor - worth BIG bucks. Bid early and bid large!

Another good point in favor of the Raptor finish. The Raptor finish on my car has a little more texture than what SpeedRoo showed but it's close.

I had my car painted last year with a color tinted Raptor finish underneath. I am very satisfied. Did it for the very reasons DatsunZGuy pointed out.

It grew to a lengthy conversation and, eventually, I wrote a dissertation about the program. I would love to talk about when the Goertz myth began and by whom. If not for entertainment! Fuzzy visors mean only one thing; you're screwed if you can't find the screw. And even if you can, you'll need a fuzzy screw driver or you'll screw the fuzz while you're screwing. I would say screw U to the fuzzy visors.

Love this styling discussion. Especially from the guy with enough finesse to light his face on fire. What a "hero". All these styling comments from everyone who didn't talk to the guy responsible. However, if they DID talk to the actual designer, (I have), they would understand the influences that this car came from and how coincidental it was when it was introduced.

I don't remember if I used that particular part. My steering shaft u-joint was worn out and I took it to a machine shop for replacement. They wouldn't do it for liability reasons so I took it apart, measured all the various dimensions and found a u-joint on the internet that fit. Put the whole thing back together myself. I remember also that u-joint installation between model years is different. Some had the u-joints peened in place and some, like mine, had a clip.

I have dealt with resurrected classics and have been very pleased with their products.

The screw finish is clear zinc. You need to measure the diameter of the shank. Should be 3mm. Just slightly smaller than 1/8".
