I drilled mine out. Retapped the hole for the stud or for a larger stud. You can purchase a stud with two different size threads if needed. Still working after 10 years and many downpipe removals.

Beefpatty. I hope you taken time to physically inspected some of these cars. My experience, driving and working on them for 20 years, is that you cannot believe these ads. When I bought my second one in 2012 I inspected about twenty 240s in Washington and Oregon and none were as I was expecting. Some don't even know they have lots of rust and some have been "updated to junk". If you haven't physically looks at some do yourself a favor and look and drive some. Just stopped by to take a look. Nothing left except a rusty hulk. No E31,no panels, no radio and no rear suspension. How he thinks a tow truck could get to it move it I don't know. This looks like a car that built in late 71 as the door plate indicates, based on my experience. If it is titled as a 73 that could be based on the date of sale and the specific state it was titled in. Not that unusual. Looks pretty much like what I would call a series III car and as we know by now it is difficult to know exactly when these cars had specific changes. To me this is what I expect to see on a 72.
