  1. Could simply be a metal fatigue step inside the gauge. It works on thermal cycles.

  4. yes. 240z has wiper stalk go out at 3oclock (covering key), 280z is at 2oclock not blocking key. Lots of differences for connector and wire routing inside the housing too.
  5. Put on pan. Not on oil filter. The filter can capture the fine stuff. A magnet on the outside is fine... or you can buy a magnetic plug.
  6. On the outside near the bottom by the drain. Metal floating will stick to it. Pull it off before you drain and the metal will flow out.

  9. If your car is stock, you will need to add an air dam on front to control lift at high speeds. That is why they developed the G-nose. You are a brave driver!

  11. Top open hole in picture is for throttle control for emissions. The other is for PCV and a hose connects it to the crank case vent. Cap it for now. Deal with these minor things after you are tuned.
  12. Nope. Disconnect choke cables for now an whip them out of the way until you are tuned. They are trouble, You want to turn jet knobs all the way up then turn down ~ 3 turns. Loosen the fast throttle screw so it is not pushing linkage Disconnect push rod in middle and let each throttle valve rest on its stop. Turn stops until they just disconnect from pushing valve open... then give each 1.5 turns. You have to verify mechanical timing AND then verify you have a spark at the plugs when cranking

  18. I've used the copper spray on every head gasket I installed with no problems.. even on lawn mowers and snow blowers. Belts and braces when ever possible.
