  1. Good advice is always appreciated. I am doing just as you are saying, and the welding is going all right but I'm thinking the Miller 210 is a bit too hot even on the lowest setting. I need a smaller welder I think!

  4. Cleaned up the seat supports and covered them in internal frame coating to protect them.
  5. I am not dead.... just busy with life in general! Picked up a set of lower nacelle panels from a friend! Gonna clean these up...
  6. The parts whore in me would love to have one of these cranks, just to have the opportunity to build a stroker one day. Blocks are easy to find and picking up an LD crank would be kinda cool... plus I already have an extra L28 to build.... But, alas, Canada does not have a lot of diesel cranks available and import/exchange fees kill most deals instantly. It's bad enough the beating we are taking against the US Dollar these days!!
  7. Yes, TIG rod or stainless MIG wire would work too. I would not recommend the softer aluminum TIG rods..

  11. After carrying the front and rear bumper off and away from my car, I realized just how much they weigh! I quickly discarded both as I much prefer the 240 style bumper anyways... However, once the car is off the rotisserie, I will have a front and rear set of bumper shocks if anyone else is looking for a set to do this same mod. Free to a good home for cost of shipping!

  18. For sure. The passenger doesn't need near as much modding to fit the tunnel. The driver side was not formed to fit the 76 catalytic converter option.
  19. I will! I remember your tips from before! However, there is still a lot of welding and grinding to go before I get the whole pan ready for 'smoothing'. There are a lot of weak seams still and too many holes to just fill yet. I will do another round of weld stitching first....

  22. I still have to weld the Zedd Findings rail on, then remove the front frame rail and weld in the new one, then overlay the bad dog frame rail over both! Should be pretty strong when I'm done...
  23. Thanks! I enjoy working on the car. It's my personal time... Did some welding and grinding. No pictures yet but it looks good so far!
  24. Got motivated to do some work and my son in law was over so...... Rough fit and ready for butt welding and final fitting...
