  1. Can you make any decisions on your own? Brush your teeth? Wear clothes? Eat? JAJAJAJAJA, not teasing, seriously. Please answer!!!!!
  2. While your there grab on of those potted plants behind his house. Privacy fences and tarps are good for the neighbors but they have to sunlight so you can't cover the tops. Is weed legal in Spokane? Just thought about that. Black Gold Man could do a lot of good for the DEA, he's got good eyes. Looks like some are on top of a washer & dryer to me. my a** off.
  3. Finally! After much prep work and some other outside my control deals I got the oil pan back on, RIGHT! this time. Golf tees helped hold the gasket in place while I brushed a thin layer of aviation gasket sealer on. Used the flat rails off a ZX motor I had to secure the rear of the pan. So happy I re-did this, it gave a chance to paint the pan blacl like I should've done to begin with. I'll re-tighten the bolts over the next few days. Thanks eveybody for your suggestions! Cliff
  4. Aftermarket engineering company for Fords, http://www.karkraftengineering.com/
  5. Awe come on, go check it out for us. Just kidding, stay safe, stay away!
  6. Hilarious! Nice looking neighborhood for it.
  7. I think it's a "swatting" type prank. All those cars and has a "by the minute" phone plan? Can't put in a battery to hear it run? Kinda fun guessing though.
  8. I googled the name and address info, WOW! This is some weird stuff. Molested as a child, killed a child later in life and went to prison. This is a dangerous scam I think. Nobody puts their name and address on CL, most people won't even put a phone number. Newspaper article http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2006/sep/17/the-damage-done/ google search https://www.google.com/search?q=michael+p+smith+4316+e+longfellow+spokane%2C+wa+99217&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&oq=michael+p+smith+4316+e+longfellow+spokane%2C+wa+99217&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8
  9. All you need to know about the head you can find out in 5 minutes. Look above the front two plugs for the code N42 or N47, 1 minute. Remove the valve cover and look at the valvetrain for a spray bar and holes in the cam, 4 minutes. My early '77 that was built in 9/'76 has a N47 head with a spray bar and oiler cam, round exhaust ports with liners. Nissan did some weird things between September 1976 and September 1977, it is often referred to as a "changeover year" to meet the USA's emission standards.
  10. I bead blasted engine parts, boy oh boy what a cleaning pita! I ended up making a siphon feed air gun like the diy soda blasters on youtube. Smaller hose and lacquer thinner though, worked really well. Fwiw Cliff
  11. If you ride around on empty you will overheat the pump for sure. I have a stupid nephew that put five dollars worth of gas in his car when it was three dollars a gallon. My sister carried him to work for two weeks after his pump fried.
  12. You're right, nothing weird about it.
  13. You have a hose that runs from the valve cover to the brake booster? Yes, plugs get gas fouled and are no good. I went through 6 a week on my speed boat when I was racing it.
  14. Build a frame and put on a lawnmower gas tank. My Dad had one when I was a kid for a 350 Chevy. Straight headers!
  15. Mine are a little "heavy" feeling when I lift them up with my fingers too, but they work good so I feel that's okay. A stupid question, you do have the nozzles set at 2.5 turns down, counterclockwise from the top. Are the nozzles dropping down when you pull the chokes on? They're not stuck are they? They should twist a little too on the way down. Are you using a mechanical pump or electric?
  16. I bought one from my Nissan dealership, $50 if I remember right. I've got the invoice with the part number and price if you need it. That CLR soaking looks pretty damn good though and much cheaper.
  17. Yes! The smaller side should be in front, I think, and it would look like 11:25 if it's right. At tdc on the compression stroke, the first two cam lobes should look similar to a rabbit's ears or actually mickey mouse's ears.
  18. Was it an empty hole you put the 240 dizzy in on the front cover? I'm asking because the f54 aka zx has a different oriented mounting ear for the zx dizzy. I'm using my phone so I can't show you a picture but you could google images of the difference.
  19. Both my '72s have the elephant, I was just curious about the earlier ones.
  20. Did it come with the elephant cap?
  21. So with Petronix you just change out the guts and use the same distributor. Learned something new today! I put a '79 ZX remanufactured distributor in my #918 240. The #110 still has points. Maybe one day I'll change it over too. I'm thinking I may sale it though, I went nuts and have more Zs than garage doors.
  22. I'm sorry but I know absolutely nothing about Petronix stuff. The OE 240 caps are the smallest, 280s are a little bigger and the ZX is the biggest. They're not interchangeable as far as I know. If you have a Petronix dizzy wouldn't it have it's own specific cap? I know mine are all "keyed" to the distributors with a thick space on one side of the cap so you can't install backwards. Hopefully someone familiar with your ignition can help? Your car looks fantastic by the way. I'm really anxious to hear how that motor runs.
  23. I replaced my fuel sender with a new one from Nissan. After reading on here about the process I realized the arm had to be bent a little. I think the new ones are straighter so they'll fit into the box. Maybe your's needs to bent some? If it's the original one, it may just need a good cleaning where the contact arm sweeps over the wiring. Carburetor cleaner works good. I was able to clean the one on my 280, the 240 had to be replaced, it was frozen from sitting in a cruddy tank full of 10 year old gas.
