  1. $40K?
  2. BAT says put dual webers on it but those SUs after a rebuild, I think paid Ztherapy $160 for the parts and instructional dvd, will be fine. Love that color. Looks like a great car too.
  3. You just had one. Homer Simon
  4. If you've changed the afm make sure there's not a crack in the accordion boot. Its easily done to forty year old rubber.
  5. I can honestly say that is the ugliest ZX I've ever seen but to each his (most likely her) own.
  6. That's normal with a performance exhaust, both my Zs do it and all the motorcycles I've had did it too. If it bothers you go to neutral, brake pads are cheaper than transmissions anyway. Someday you should watch and listen to an F1 race, they pop like crazy and usually have flames coming out. I think it's unburnt fuel/air mixture that causes it.
  7. When my battery is low my blinkers won't blink, they light up but stay solid. After an overnight 2 amp charge they're fine.
  8. For what it's worth I run these Hankooks on my orange Z, 205/50-R15 and love them for their look and price too. discounttire.com has them for $260 with $90 worth of rebates right now, $170. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?ra=searchTiresBySize.do&fl=&pc=19441&counter=0&ar=50&rd=15&cs=205
  9. Charles I'm sorry if that came out as dickish but the dot dot dot at the end left me wondering what you meant. Nothing but love from here.
  10. If your brown buddy is like mine, he'd eat that terra cotta tile you have. I wish I could get mine on the roof! Maybe he is scared of heights and could/would stay up there. Now he's digging to "Shina" as president trump would say, or is it "vagina", I haven't seen SNL in a few weeks. Beautiful dog, I'm sorry for your life without him. Cliff
  11. Battery terminal? I'd like to think Greg would know that right off the bat. But a bad terminal on the alternator should show up with a volt meter. Or are talking about a bad connection on the parts store's equipment?
  12. You should add that info for the us, the novices. Steve's Tech Tips. It was fairly easy until the cabin side. That was a royal pain for me. I'm sure I did it the hard way because it was TOUGH! Anyway I'll never do it again. Now I have more money than sense, which ain't a lot of either.
  13. That's one of the hardest, most frustrating things I've had to do on mine so far. Congratulations on your power assist. I thought about going to the larger one but thank goodness the tight side of my brain took over.
  14. Can you go to a local auto parts and have them roll their testing cart out and see if the alternator fails or passes? Advance does that around here for free, battery test load too.
  15. Yes this is good to know, thank you Mr Arnett. I'll start saving sales of some "comps" for any potential disagreements just in case. I had to send a bunch of pictures and a completed application before getting approved but I'm going to email my insurance agent and ask specifically about this. Thanks again Cliff
  16. I used to leave the chokes on in the 240s I had, all I ever did was move them around the garage so I figured just leave them pulled back. After rebuilding a set I learned a couple of things, mainly why I was smelling gas so bad. I live above the garage too.
  17. maybe I'll hang on to mine. I'd like to hear them someday.
  18. Much easier with my laptop. It's behind the couch, way behind the couch. It's been awhile since seeing Dan Tanna, '78-'81
  19. Nothing cooler than a car in the living room. Remember Vegas? He parked his red Vette behind the couch.
  20. I just bought 12 months for what 6 months from my main carrier charges. Stated value of $20K, 6,000 miles per year for $141. They don't write Hagerty so I didn't get a quote from them but I hardly ever drive the car so I'm happy with this and they're out of Alpharetta Georgia, local to me. http://www.classiccollectors.com/
  21. I agree! I bet it has a ding or six in that garage. Edit: make that ten. Clothes hanger removal, climb on the Z.
  22. I'm glad you did post, my Dad had a mid 70s Vette that had the t-top mount on the deck. Cool car, when you add a Z you'll be my hero.
  23. I think $20K or more also. We'll see in an hour and a half. Does BAT have reserves?
  24. Those do work good, especially by yourself. I have a 2x4 cut just right that I put at the seat's bottom and the pedals to keep pressure on them. Slide the seat as I go.
  25. My Dad always told his friends " if at boys gotta go 100 foot, he's spinning 50 and slidin' 50" It's boring down here, I have scars all over my body but not in my head. I was a Le-wildass now I'm a sore Le-oldass.
