Quick rebuild of wiper arm pivots...
My wipers were moving slow for the longest time on my old 240z i ignored it for too long and had to replace my wiper assembly! Luckily i had a parts car with a good one, because the price was high. So if you have slow wipers don't put this off for too long.

Fiberglass reman pannels
i know zedd findings sells floor pan kits. I think they run about 300 bucks but then you gotta put them on, or pay ($$$$$) someone else to weld them on. http://www.datsunzparts.com/start.htm

after not being my main driver......
Well i got my 280z in dec of last year and I have finally got it to the point to where i could trust it as my daily driver. Before then it was sitting over a year. My daily commute is about 120miles total at least M-Th. So far the car is doing ok, er....i think. 2 weeks ago i changed the oil since i planned on driving more now. (i changed it when i first got it in dec also) I started driving it(been doing ok for a week now) four days ago i looked at the oil and it was transperent and barely noticeable on the dip stick. Now today it is very black. I am probably going to do another oil change. What could cause the rapid change in oil color? In my 240z (when i had it) the oil stayed clean for a few months. (but back then my daily commute was 60miles a day) Does this signify anything about my engine condition?

edited last post- I left my key in the on position too long....
I just finished doing what z many has said. I now have spark!! Still won't start:disappoin What i have done took off the capacitor, replaced the ECU, Replaced the fuel pump & filter, cap & rotor, coil, trans ign. module. checked firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4 Things done at a shop include: had the valves adj., adjusted and cleaned throttle body. cleaned air mass meter, flush injection system, reset timing and fuel mixture. I know they adjusted th AFM. Now i am off to attempt testing or replaceing sensors. Or maybe there is a kill switch i don't know about at this point i would belive it.- Second Childhood

electronic ignition. hmmm..... no spark at the plugs.- headlight modification
I always just turn the wheel all the way without taking them off and unscrew the headlights seeing with my sense of touch.- I left my key in the on position too long....
I just checked them and the links have continuity(spelling) car cranks but won't turn over. Hmm....I don't think i have the correct fusible links they look rigged and they are pretty thick I hope these links are not jumper wires(gulp) left over from another owner. the car was running fine before the fuel pump incident. do these look right? http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/data/500/3040engine_bay-med.JPG- Plug wires?
I was stupid with too much money in my hands at the wrong time I not only bought the wires but i bought the jethot coated headers and exhaust with MSA.( income tax return was cool.) Then after hanging out here i learned alot about the Z car. Heck when i first joined i thought if you didn't see any rust on a car that it was rust free. (oh..its just got a little rust under the capets, nothing major. no one will see it)I posted underinformed questions like how do i get 300hp out of my L24 and stuff like that. You guys taught me alot in a short time. The most important things i learned were how to identify rust problems and to stop looking to the L24 for performance..........(geez i was gonna put triples on that thing without any internal mods)..... Now i am looking to an IC'd L28et. Then when I get a real job give the 280z to my brother and get me a modified & redone 240z.- I left my key in the on position too long....
(This is about a 78 280z.) My fuel pump went. I tested it to see if i could hear it run in the on position. I couldn't hear it run so i went to buy another one at a store 25miles away, I left the ignition on and now the car gets no spark. Has anyone had this prob before? Now my car won't start. I thought it was the ignition module, i found one swaped it and it still won't start. I think it is the pickup coil but i am not sure. i have spark from the coil but not the plugs I am stumped but out of time today and tommorrow i will try to replace the pickup coil.:cross-eye :- Plug wires?
I use those nology capacitive wires. I guess they are cool. I did see improvement but not worth what i paid for them.- The last S30 at the show
