  1. Absolutely, just let me know!
  2. How far out is the body shop?
  3. I believe the young guys who are in Georgia are making reproduction hoods, hatches, as well as other panels. Their company name escapes me right now. I think a hood is about $600
  4. So I worked on the differential brace some more. I finally got the 3/8" steel from the machine shop a couple of weeks ago. He gave it to me free because it took so long. The sides had some beveling to them so I had to do some clean up first I checked a little more and then let Cody MIG it up for me. He was gonna TIG it but the MIG was close by so we went that route n it Cody wasn't pleased with the welds because the feed was being a little erratic, probably because the wire was dirty. I will do a little clean up on it and make it black.Should be fine for what I'm trying to do. I can post up the CAD file for the plate if anyone is interested
  5. There are reproduction available too
  6. I took these on the way up from the deer blind. Does this help? Looks like 5 spot welds on the bottom section. there are some on the top too you can just barely see
  7. I suspect the debris could be coming off the chain guides. I don't know what else could shed like that inside the engine unless its been rebuilt in the past
  8. That bearing looks fine to me What do the timing chain guides look like? What is that draining out of the oil filter?
  9. Those repairs look fabulous. You are correct longevity is really important
  10. Patcon replied to RMin280's topic in Help Me !!
I agree, double check there are no exhaust leaks
  11. @EuroDat You can't buy this but if you ever want some. I will gladly ship you some... C
  12. Don't buy from California datsun! I would prefer the 5 speed if it were mine. I believe you could go the 240SX route, too?
  13. Thats some expensive primer! I haven't bought any in a while but I'm using Nason, which is significantly less expensive
  14. I would say yes
  15. I find the incorrect items can be fairly easy to remedy. The VIN number is fixed however and they don't come up for sale that often and each year we lose a few of them.
  16. #229! Thats low. Hand throttle... Should draw a six figure number. If it doesn't it's a sign of the recent reduction in values. Even the other cars seem cheaper compared to 6 months ago
  17. That's possible. Most of these products cure for 30 days or more. I always wondered why high ends shops take so long to do cars and they seemed to sit for a long time between fits of work. Maybe that's why, they want all that shrinkage to set in before they continue work?
  18. That is what it appears like to me
  19. Is it easier to put the clip into the hole on the car first and then push the badge on? Where is a good source for the correct size pins?
  20. Do you have a link to what you bought? What was the thickness?
  21. I believe that was a factory option...
  22. Most of the heavy rain went East of us. It rained hard last night and we had some wind but nothing too bad, thankfully
  23. Some people drill and pin the spindle gear to prevent that
  24. Those are both really strong numbers for a 300ZX!
