  1. I will check. May be Friday or Saturday...
  2. Just curious. If it was a real low number car I could see it being worth it. I hate seeing any Z get parted out but from the looks of the quarters there is a lot more rust in there.
  3. Post deleted. That's a mess! Was the VIN displayed?
  4. Maybe, It will depend on how you mount it and where neutral twirl is. I built my rotisserie for more than just this project and the extra height helps me not worry about contact.
  5. I looks great and you seem to have a good handle on it!
  6. On mine, when I rotate the roof down, I only have 5" or so of clearance from the center bar...
  7. Lot's of block work!
  8. I will check tomorrow...
  9. On my rotisserie the center point of rotation is 41" above the bottom bar. I have a bar that runs the full length to keep the ends tied together. In the rear, the pivot is about 7" below the rear deck lid and about 9" above the top edge of the bottom of the radiator support. The car is pretty neutral at these heights when fully stripped...
  10. Thanks, Derek
  11. I guess what I was looking at was how much to get a casting. If it's 12-14k for a complete motor I can save a lot of that because I can do most of the lower end myself and some of the upper end too. If it's 12-14k in the head, that's a different story!
  12. I didn't get that impression. I would be surprised if the head ran that much but possibly. The casting itself wouldn't be that expensive to make,, even with all the post casting treatment. The cams and associated parts shouldn't be cost prohibitive either. Maybe though...
  13. Is the 12-14k for a complete twin cam engine build? That is how I read it. That is is with non Variable Cam Timing...
  14. I figured 15k as my first guess. You did ok. There are a few little areas that need attention but very clean overall. Near the battery tray, go ahead and neutralize that rust, as well as the rear deck lid area. Also there is so slight bubbling in the front fenders but still very nice! Doors and jambs are clean. Under the hood clean and original finishes still evident. Nice find...
  15. @SteveJ @gwri8 Possibly bad battery or starter connections?
  16. But an SWB is pushing $8,000,000 !!!
  17. A Scarab is a very unique car. They tend to be very rare and one in great shape could bring this kind of money. Early year 240z's are bringing this kind of money and more if they are the right car in the right place...
  18. I was posing the question in general. I don't know the EFI cars that well. I will have to defer to some of the other guys.
  19. Would jumping from the fuse box to the battery fry anything? ECU, relays, injectors?
  20. Fuel pressure has nothing to do with this! The settings in the float bowls, tuning, carb balance do, not fuel pressure... Mark beat me to it...
