@pazt2prezent, you are welcome. I hope you reconsider your opinions about forums and bring in some additional challenges. The one thing I do know is that our guys are very interested in exploring the genuine facts about the Z car, no matter the country. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here. Albeit a bit rough around the edges, you will find a ton of data (and debatable topics) to help make your Z projects a success.

I think ZH meant that it's the 'same as it ever was'... Gents, we have to be a bit more friendly and choose our words carefully these days -- especially to new members. The Internet isn't the same as it ever was. Clubs like ours are fading out in comparison to the big social media sites. I'd like to know that our club is known for permanent content and a group of people that wants to help. The written word is a powerful thing, and the conversation that follows it can define who we are.

Hey guys, I just reviewed this thread because it was reported to me. There were a few violations of the rules, but, most of it was on topic. One thing I ask is that you please try to be civil with each other as if you were standing in the same room. I am not going to go through and give violations this evening because I think you can figure out how and when you can be good to each other. The main objective of our club is to help others and collect information for the car. Debates can sometimes get heated, so I trust that you guys can keep it civil. We can only survive this modern world of media websites if we do these things.. We need people and a welcoming environment for all.. Thanks guys. Mike
  4. Found it, thanks! It was in chit chat, so, I moved to the heating and a/c forum.. Thanks.
  5. HA! Now that is crazeee
  6. I'd be interested to see how the installation of the VintageAge product works out. Can you keep us posted here with your progress? Has anyone else done it on an S30? (I already searched and didn't find anything)
  7. Man you guys have it great. I don't have much room anymore. We moved to the city so no more big garages. One day I'll be back in the quiet country with a garage to "tinker" in...
  8. Nice find! Thanks for posting it here. Good luck on the sale... Mike

  9. Hey dutch, do you mind if I put these into our files area? It would be easier to find there (rather than being stuck deep in a forum post). Mike
  10. Our microfiche images were created about 15 years ago using an external service that I paid. At the time, they had some pretty good equipment, but, I also spent about 50-60 hours cleaning up the final images you see today. I'm sure the scanning technology has improved since then, so, this could be looked at again. The microfight was in new at the time (donated by Nissan) and never used by a dealer. I still have them, and with today's scanning technology we might be able to get better images. We had a project going a few years ago to collect and store all documentation about the early model cars. Unfortunately, that project didn't go far when one of our leaders had a stroke. @Victor Laury was a great guy and had collected quite a few documents and had them scanned. Anyway, since then he has passed on and I fear the documents are lost. Although we do have a lot of documents collected by members, we could start this project again and have them posted on the site. I still have a number of documents that were donated to me directly and still need to scan them and post to the files area, too. Anyhoo, if you guys start looking into this more seriously, I think it's a great idea for club members. Instead of keeping them on your own sites, I highly recommend also putting copies into our files area as well. Personal websites and cloud shares often get lost in the shuffle, or, can go away forever if (god forbid) a health issue arises. So, please be sure to post them here if you find something good! I have long term plans to keep this website going even if something happens to me. Mike

Nice looking rims! Man, I need a set of these..
  16. This is a great deal, and knowing how Guy ( @Diseazd ) is with Zcars, you can't pass on this opportunity. His work is done the 'right' way....
  17. Wow!! Looks great man, thanks for sharing and making a special deal for club members... I just love custom art like this. Just noticed this is from 2016. Are you still doing these pieces into 2018?
  18. I might be able to clean it up. I have the full version of Adobe and can also convert images to PDF's. Just let me know or send a copy and I can help out.
  19. @240260280 Can you also post the docs in our downloads area when you're done?
  20. Glad it worked out, Kirk!

Here are some pics showing his love for the Datsun family...
  23. Hi all, I am saddened to read on Facebook that Victor Laury has passed. Victor was a long time Datsun fanatic and he helped build our club in the 'early' days. He was known to us as @Victor Laury and was one of the most helpful people I knew. He was a moderator and brought a huge ray of sunshine to our collection of pixels, 1's, and 0's. Victor was featured on our club years ago, and he drove 4 different Datsuns in his daily life. I raise a glass to Victor and wish him godspeed on his trip to Heaven, knowing that he will be driving in the sunshine with the top down. He was an inspiration to me and I treat every day as a privilege to be on this Earth. Victor, if you are reading this, we will miss you dearly and our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Enjoy your special place in Heaven and we will meet again someday. Moderator Mike PS: I will never forget our common love for Faye Valentine. RIP my friend!
