Northern California Weber (maybe Mikuni) tuning day anyone?

Noted... Keith has completely redesigned the jets... The clinic will wait until he has them in production which will be soon...

Not really necessary to mask off the block like that. I have painted several and you just paint judiciously, avoiding what stays raw metal then wipe down the surfaces you don't want painted with paint thinner. In fact that is what I thought you had done because your tape is the proper block color. Then I opened your pictures up... 8)

That's a steal for a first 1000 car if it's in really good condition!

Just had the 'development and evolution' talk with Les Cannaday the other day. It seems like most race cars change... Thanks for the link! Quite a racing culture and history in Florida...

		Anyone near Duluth?

I grew up in Minnesota and my Z spent about 15 years there. Every October it went in to a heated storage barn and every March, right after the State High School Basketball tournament it came out. That is pretty common among sports car people there. You will not find any rust on mine. Do your do-diligence but just because it's in Minnesota doesn't mean a thing...

Oh, I couldn't agree more! I own Grand Prix and LeMans with McQueen. It isn't that McQueen would have been a bad choice, but if you watch the film and have the heart of a race car driver, you know Garner really nailed it. You should write a book Steve. Your experiences behind the camera have always amazed me...

I grew up and drove Z's in Minnesota. Believe me, they just haven't gotten to you yet. I think I was pulled over 10 times in my Z...

I bought an '84 new. Like the Idaho Kid said, all RPM no torque. Good car. I could drive the snot out of it on the track and autocross course. About equal to my Z of the time and if I recall correctly, in the same class. The design looks a little dated now to me, although I thought it was sexy as hell when I bought it. I had a GSL-SE with the rear discs and no sunroof. I think it ended up a Spec-7 car...
