  1. You're an 'Lstepp4re' fan club member then? ? It must be you that's sending him all the DMs about "significant Z movements", LOL. I didn't see any pond-crossing pissing match (what did I miss?) but I did witness Lstepp4re once again actively bidding up a car he had no intention of buying, attempting to control the narrative in the comments during the auction as well as threatening legal action against somebody (a fellow American) who simply disagreed with him. Bring-a-Trailer mods hit the delete button a few times and it was all swept neatly under the carpet. Maybe I'm in the minority in being allergic to superannuated, arriviste blowhards and their fanbois?
  2. I’ve found that some tasks are best left to a professional body shop. Why God created money!
  3. I did a bit of searching and found the thread on the mustache bars where I had downloaded the photos for the 280Z bushes a couple of years back. . The thread was about the bushes and possible alternatives. @kats posted a lot of photos of all the different variations he came accross on page 2. These is also a tool on page 3 made by a someone back in 2011 to flare the outer ring over the mustache bar
  4. A very simple thought: you may have melted a wire or connection. The first thing I'd do is get under the dash on the driver's side with a strong flashlight and start tracing wires, looking for evidence of burned or melted wires or connections. I would devote specific attention to the back of the tach. As the electronics guys would say, you have released the magic smoke that makes the electronics work.
  5. If you want it done correctly, as original, get Mike at Banzai to sell and stamp it for you. He’ll need a copy of your title with numbers for verification, They are perfect.
  6. I have a set spare thatcame off my 280Z. The spacing is 55mm. Total length is 158mm. Is that what you mean?
  7. Lots of parts installed this week, all in good used or new state, it's nice to see that it's finaly going to get ready.. The windscreen is still not in but we are going to do it ourselves.. (as we say.. if you want it done the right way.. you have to do it yourself... oeps.. ) The guy for the windscreen is not showing up, he says he got no clips or anything to work with so have started the job by putting in some clips and did already a test fit and then you can see there is not much overlapping.. "glued" the clips i have in with some rubber sealant.. After some good research, how to fit it, I'll put the windscreen in myself with maybe some help of the shop owner. I got all the professional stuff for it handy so i should go well. I also installed the door rubber, it's like new stuff and been in storage a long time. Very nice soft rubber that fits to the door glass perfectly! Rear side windows.. Some super nice side covers!! Front parts installed! Bumper stay.. (with a tap in it for cleaning up the thread.) inside the chassis where the stay go's.. without the NEW wax.. (was wax'ed a long time ago..) And with wax on! Installed! The front ready..
