I've uploaded a video of pics I made during the judged car show on Beale Street. About 1+ min into the video, there are some scurvy-looking guys on the sidewalk that have a distinct resemblance to CZCC members. Since the music seems to be available to all, I've edited out prior comments about the copyright dispute with YouTube. The two songs on the video are early 1900's original recordings now in the public domain. First is Bessie Jackson with "Barbeque Bess", I'm sure she's really singing about her "BBQ" . The second number is by Memphis Minnie (appropriate for ZCON) doing "Down By the Riverside". Enjoy the tunes.
  2. 77 280z, 5spd, factory AC. AC works great, but I've got no heat. Bled cooling system again, no air in system as far as I can tell. No overheating issues. I'm thinking blockage somewhere. Probably valve under dash. Visual inspection of valve and it looks pretty good. No evidence of leaks. Bur I guess it could be bad inside. Lack of heat is not a huge deal because I put the car away for winter, but everything else works in car and it kinda bugs me. Any suggestions?
  3. I love how a cleaned up intake looks. Almost as good as triples ... I am so conflicted!

Very nicely done! Great music selection! Felt just like I was there all over again-- well--not quite---those "scurvy-looking guys on the sidewalk" were much more real then---talkin' Z car jive!!!!
  5. Long story short. Yesterday the right rear brake line snapped off on me while disconnecting it. I will have to replace it and it goes all the way to the junction block in the center of car. I likely will have to drop the differential to get at it. I will replace the other side as well as long as I am that far. After all, they have only been on there for 43 years. Ha. I was going to drive it to a large car show on the 16th but that may be unlikely now. Don't have a lot of time available to work on it. Got to order the new lines now.
  6. The vacuum hose going to the fast idle actuator may be cracked or loose. When they are working properly it will pull back the throttle rod raising the idle to compensate the drag from the A/C compressor. Quick picture I grabbed off google, maybe you can see what I mean. FICD is "fast idle control device"
  7. Joined up with a group in town getting a car club to the next level. Had an aerodrome to ourselves for the evening, with some Skyline/240SX drifting school, which turned into drags. I didn't feel drifting to be my thing once giving it a go. Feels WAY to abusive on the clutch and rear-end. The skyline blew 3rd out, and the 240SX had some front end stuff come loose. My Z was the 2nd quickest car out there in a straight line, nearly door to door with a 5th gen Camaro SS with some stuff done to it. I feel a 3.90 rear-end would make things even closer, which is pretty decent for the Z.
