  3. An additional step in the refurbishment to consider: Coat the grey interior of the tail light housing with white paint while you have the opportunity. The end result will surpass your expectations. 4. I got the new bumper guard strips installed and got the bumper back on the car. In the grand scheme of things the strips are a small piece but in my opinion they have a very high impact as they help complete the front of the car and give it a correct look. I know a lot of people don’t like the bumper guards but I have always been a fan of them and glad they are now looking good on my Z. That is all for now. With the holidays upon us I don’t see me doing much else to the car. Depending on how things go I may start looking in to getting it painted in the spring. For now, I am just happy to have it and enjoy it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  5. After a few shots of PB blaster the old bumper guard strip nuts came off. With the bumper on the table I decided to put a little elbow grease in to it using some Mothers Billet polish to try and make the chrome look a little better. This stuff is a bit expensive but the results never cease to amaze.
  6. I had the same colour combo '73 with the added feature of a hole in the floor which would spray the passenger when hitting a puddle!
  7. This is the best electric pump if you are interested in OEM quality and suitability http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISMO-Electric-Fuel-Pump-DATSUN-510-1200-24 0Z-B10-280Z-B110-S110-120Y-Nissan-/221407112643?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item338ce46dc3&vxp=mtr
  8. I recently got information from Shell ( translated with Google ) : This is a fairly complex matter. It is true that there is a European law that ALL oil companies required the ENTIRE EU to dose. 5.75% biofuels in petrol and diesel Exceptions are possible in so-called "premium" fuels, and that the achievement of a certain quota. In those regulations Very simple and short-by-the-curve you can say that you can get as long as the sales share of the "regular" fuel is high enough. Exception for premium fuels In the Benelux and DACH (Germany-Austria-Switzerland) our market share and volume sufficient to apply the Vpower this measure so that's why it is biovrij in those countries. In France, however, we do not make the quota, and the bio Vpower account. Arnaud Fraiteurlaan 15-23 1050 Brussels RPR/RPM 0403.048.262 ---------- Dear, Shell V-Power is a gasoline fuel which does not contain ethanol in its composition, but on the other hand, there is also possible to use the Shell Unleaded 95 brandtof it contains a maximum of 5% of ethanol. According to instructions below, this fuel with a maximum of 5% of ethanol is also acceptable for your classic car. Be careful with the oldtimer, the cleaning characteristics of a V-Power would perhaps be too aggressive for internal closures of classic motorcycles. You can find the website of Shell in the Dutch where are the Shell stations that supply this fuel. With Kind Regards. Met vriendelijke groeten, bien à vous, kind regards Renaud Hayet.
