Shelley says that looks much bettter. She said you should win best in show every year with those!

Please tell Shelley thanks for me, I always appreciate a second opinion.  Now I just have to figure a way to get Shelley as a judge at any show I enter. LOL

If Charles brings her down for ZCON, I might be able to put her in as a judge for the People's Choice show.

Well then, how about 6 or 7 of the car from different angles to see the finished product!    😚

I really like the change. Super nice before but that really sets it off. More awards in Atlanta for sure.

Cliff, thanks for the kind words.  With the big win in Memphis, ZCCA "retired" my car from eligibility in future judged competitions.  I can still enter peoples' choice events and "exhibit" the car at a judged show.  That and parade laps at Road Atlanta are enticing but overall not an adequate justification for an 800 mile tow from Dallas.  We plan to make the trip but will have to be content cheering on other worthy entries.  Looking forward to Z'ing you and other good friends at the big show.

P.S. - Branson is a much more reasonable tow in 2019!!!

I'm driving my Camry and would be more than happy to shuttle you guys from Hartsfield. A fore warning though, getting out of there takes longer than the flight.  I'm hoping some of y'all will arrive at close times and get a shuttle or double up on cab fare. The  airport is a good ways away from the hotel.

We have just begun the fun part, planning!  I can't wait and desperately need a few days days with like thinking friends. I am surrounded by idyuts. LOL

I resemble that remark. ROFL

I presume the rusty tu*d will have a utility trailer attached with all the tools and spares necessary for a complete in-flight rebuild. LOL

Just remember, if you go to the Atlanta airport there is a lot of construction. I think it's the North terminal that is all fowled up right now. So just go to the South terminal. you can easily walk to the other side after drop off or arrival

For those who are looking for some bumpers...

Tried to order from TYNDA that i found on ebay, then on alibaba.

TYNDA is located in Vietnam, and mentions they are manufacturing for Harrington Group (main europe bumper provider)

Website : www.bumperclassic.com

http://bumperclassic.com/index.php/about-us-team

Facebook site :  https://www.facebook.com/Tyndabumper

Alibaba site : https://vn1293675903ggbk.trustpass.alibaba.com/

Skype : rooney.rio

Took my chance, something like 650 USD delivered to France, plastic strips included (no hole drilled), paypal fees included...not VAT

Delivered in less than 10 days

Not installed yet, will wait for EuroDat brackets.

On Datsun France forum, saw that www.bumperautomobile.com was proposing the pair of bumper at 450 USD (no shipping included). Nobody tested yet...

You have the drawing attached of these bumpers from TYNDA.

I'm a little confused here. You bought these bumpers, correct? What site did you end up buying them through? There were half a dozen listed. Was the transaction Ok? Sounds like they came in a reasonable time

My experience with SS bumpers from Harrington is you must be very careful cleaning them. They scratch very easy and are not easy to bring back to the original shine.

72 body and block, everything else 71, Tokico springs, Illumina, R180 CLSD, 83 close ratio, 3.90 gears, Ztherapy SUs, BRE 15X7 Libre wheels and BRE front spoiler.

It looks like there's just one facility in Vietnam that's making the bumpers and selling them under a couple different business names and also supplying Harrington...is that correct?

Same prices for all of them (except Harrington)? At $450 plus shipping, that's a nice present come Christmas.

i've been told steel wool 0000 to be one of the best solution...tested?

Are you saying you used steel wool on yours and it equaled the original finish?
