floating pins, if the pistons have the proper groove to accept the locks. do not try to use the incorrect locks on a piston they were not designed for.

 

rebushing the rods to 22mm shouldn't be a problem. parts dinosaur has the rod bushes made by ROCK that will work on the L rods (which may be listed under VG30). BUT you might be able to get away with the current rod bushings since you're shaving quite a bit of material off them.

 

 

but as far as your question- resizing the rods is not a hard task by any competent engine builder. Also, consider going with ARP press in studs for the L/VG30 rods (same part number). They are a reasonably priced upgrade to Nissan/Datsun's shitty rod bolts, the bane of most high horsepower Nissan engines.
